girl on the left- they were very seirous then overnight he dumped her, within 6 months he married the girl on right, his current wife

That’s sad 😢 this is the thing with many men I have heard and seen. They date one girl for years, say they not ready for marriage and then dump her or break up and marry someone else within months. I liked his wife. He has been posting his and his wife’s pics on insta so liked them. Didn’t know he broke up with someone else in such way before marrying her. Rupali’s husband doesn’t like her. He likes the comments made against her. It’s probably why she’s so obsessed with doing anupamaa as she has nothing really left in her life apart from her son and this show which has been giving her love, fame and money.

I don’t understand the point of chasing celebs for pictures either. If not for people treating them like they’re so special, this ridiculous celebrity worshipping culture that gets them VIP treatment would end too.

yeah i remembered the rest cause recently i watched the entire show like 3 times for KN lmao, and 1 time from start to end just to understand the story family

also after nandini filed for divorce, there is a scene tanya karan were both drunk and N sees them together. before that too tanya ansh created lot of misunderstanding for her. that poor girl.

when tulsi talks about marrying her son nandini still was like it must be karan. she was so sad during mehendi haldi its so weird no one saw that... but then it happens in movies and shows lol. and our bechara sacrifical karan kept crying during wedding.

tanya played a good game with manipulating karan, but she fell for the same trap of loving karan lol. i remember when tulsi was like we should marry tanya karan, karan was like i will never love anyone but nandini, tanya already started to dream ki kya hua karan mujhse pyar nhi karega to, mere pyar kafi hai, then she heard what K said, then she was like okay yeah this marriage wont happensmiley36

The show was made stupid for the sake of stupid. I mean can anyone believe a criminal will be reformed just because he got mommy’s love? That was the beginning of this ride of stupidity. Then there was the fact that the girl who had accused this guy of stalking, harassing and almost molesting her was suddenly consenting to marry him.

This was peak brain-rot era in that way. Bollywood too had movies where women married the guys who had assaulted them like Rani’s debut movie - Raja Ki Aayegi Baaraat and this old Anil Kapoor Juhi Chawla movie called Benaam Badshah. I was just glad they didn’t go down that route. Because that was even worse. There these girls were assaulted before they ended up marrying these guys. The marriage of course changes him into a good human being. Juhi dies at the end of her movie, Rani survives.

I think everyone knew ansh nandini isn't happening but the marital rape thing was extreme.

I think that was the start of bad boy getting.mothers love, then betray everyone. I remember kasauti and kasam se doing that but probably many shows did.

Even by kyuki standard, for them murder was the worst thing. Ajkal k shows they take murder so casually lol

That sara Akash girl and Shakti had a filing. I don't think cheating is involved but don't want to comment cause I really don't care about these people lol

Rupali is no saint. If she's unhappy in her marriage that's her karma. If she felt bad about shakti thing that would be hilarious case of sau chuhe khake Billi haj ko chali. She did the same thing wit many guys I guess it was time she got a dose too

In the end these people got their happy story. Prerna/shweta married twice, didn't work out but she's happy with her kids and families , Ads. Same with urvashi/komolika

The most weird part imo was sahil actor was in relationship with ashlesha for 20+ years?? Just few months back they married, that's so weird and why she stayed? Mind boggling to me.

@bold: they didn't want to marry it seems. Sort of a live in, constant relationship without marriage. Normally you read in books about people being in a relationship for 10 yrs before getting married but 20 yrs is still surprising.

Don’t remember Kasam Se too much tbh. They brought in bad boys for all 3 OG shows. Ansh, Shasha and UD. Shasha iirc goes insane after his lover is killed in some tragic accident that happens courtesy of his attempt to kill Parvati or Om or someone in the family. The guilt of being inadvertently responsible for her death drives him into an asylum. The rest of his family - mom and siblings just disappeared after that.

UD IMO was never half as bad as those two. He just had an attitude problem. Otherwise he was an actually good but damaged child. The trauma of losing Mukti mellows him down and I think then he marries her lookalike iirc.

The one thing common among all these men was that they were all phenomenal actors who did justice to their parts and made us hate them or pity them, depending on the show and character in question. I found Karanveer to be extremely creepy and frankly terrifying in Saubhagyavati Bhava which he did later as Viraj Dobiyal. If anyone could give a run to Ansh in the worst husband competition ever it was Viraj and the husband from Neha Marda’s show played by Mohit Mallik. I don’t remember the name atm. But he was extremely violent too.

Back then shows weren’t afraid of showing hardcore stuff and if that meant airing scenes that made people uncomfortable then that was intentional. They wanted people to feel those things and spark conversations.

I remember thinking that the two most horrifying scenes of that era were scenes which frankly didn’t even show anything graphic but the implications were so scary.

The first one was in Balika Vadhu. Neha Marda’s character Gehna is married to Basant, a man old enough to be her father. In fact, they do show that his first wife had a series of miscarriages and died while giving birth to his 8/9th child. There’s a legit scene on that show where she confronts him and asks him had his first child survived, wouldn’t it be true that said child would’ve been older than her by a whole year? Then why did he marry her, despite their age difference? He is stunned and shamed into silence.

The scene in question has her limping into the Pooja Room the morning after her wedding. The minimal music as everyone observes her discomfort, the gentle jangling of her bangles and anklets as she moves is frankly nerve wracking when you understand what the scene was about. How it projected her trauma without a single word said.

The next scene was in a promo of all things! Again Colors with Na Aana Iss Des… you see a newborn child wrapped up and then passed around a lot of people and assume that this child is perhaps being taken to an elder for blessings. Then we see there’s a gigantic black pot that has milk almost ready to spill out as it bubbles over the surface when the child reaches the intended person.

The person raises the child above their head with both their hands as a lot of people, all men, dressed in white stand silently when this person’s voice echoes loud and clear - Agle saal chhora. The people repeat the same in unison as you watch that child being thrown into the bubbling pot of milk.

I can’t even imagine anyone having the courage to depict something half as horrific today. Neither actors nor writers today are capable of bringing such issues to screen.

I didn't even know they were in a live in relationship in the first place 😂. I came across about this some time back and then suddenly their marriage news came to light. God knows what goes in their minds.

Chills, literal chills even when you narrate them. I can't imagine such incidents happened in real life for the shows to depict them. Also the shows were gutsy at that time..these days na story hai, na acting. The same old six and seven of two girls running behind a single guy, not like he's worth running behind also.
