Because abortion is still a debated topic everywhere in the world. Showmakers have to play it safe so they most take this route. I mean look at Nandini, even she had nearly aborted the child she conceived owing to her assault but she keeps her. I think though in her case they made the decision to abort be medically risky as well for reasons beyond the script says so. Medically, till 3 months the procedure is relatively straightforward and not life threatening to the mother. It’s once she’s in the second trimester that her own life is at risk should she consent to the procedure.

I cant remember if they had shown Nandini was in her second trimester before she’d found out about being pregnant or not.

The show is a disgusting piece of trash. I can't imagine why would they show the girl keeping the baby unless it was life threatening to her. And Prarthana's ex is Gautam, right ? Ew.

like then returned from Switzerland after the assault, then her divorce case started(in between twice they were trapped by Ansh), finally she got the divorce, then on that day Ansh tried to abduct her when Tulsi kills him.

then case starts on Tulsi where she faints in the witness box and then they get to know she is pregnant...

Tulsi is convicted after that she goes for abortion, so definitely has to be over 3 months...

One think I liked there was that they showed Karan disheartened on knowing about Nandani's pregnancy, thinking now they are probably at unpartable distanc. Not like he immediately was like ok I will take your child as own..
