I mean just few years ago yami was only known as fair & lovely girl or the heroine who dies in first ten minutes of the movie so can't blame aloo for not noticing her.

Good find , especially as Vicky had done Sanju with Ranbir before and got very good critics (even some hinting at overshadowing Ranbir in the acting)... when I read about the projected new collaboration (now Love & War with Alia included and Vicky being the love interest), I had some 'weird ideas'...

I don’t think it’s about Yami at all. Her career is filled with great movies and equally mid movies ( but she is always good in them) , which is representative of the fact that the industry doesn’t present equal chances for all. And let’s not forget or pretend Yami herself is fairly well to do, her father is an executive of PTV and does produce Punjabi films.

this really is about Karan and Alia panicking that for the first time, in a long time, attention isn’t on them, and it’s going to the people who have done good work and are so-called underdog in that they’re underexposed but delivering good work consistently. They are used to setting the narrative, now probably feel a bit irrelevant to the conversation.

Alia should have praised Haq sooner and made the effort to watch in movies since Emran Hashmi is her family lol. Usko chodke, she is running after Yami. And she was caught leaving comments under other people’s movies ( I forget which one…) A month after Dhurandhar, she praises the movie via her production company /brand insta, leaves off her ex co star and makes it a point to personally call out Yami for Haq. It screams personal agenda cuz Alia wants the best of both worlds - she wants mass success and wants to solo headline movies and call herself lady Bachchan

Kjo the posts about Haq on the same day, calling her out twice, when the movie was also headlined by Emran, who he has worked with and is Alia’s extended family. He just wants to insert himself, wherever cuz they want to be talked about whether Dharma is making Param Sundari or distributing Homebound.

man, the way these two are behaving is just sloppy😂😂😂 and that’s why it’s important to watch movies in theatres to know what audience wants…and stay relevant.

Although I had watched Yami in some other movies, I never chose to watch a movie because of her and as for Haq, I just was confident that she would give a good performance. At that time (Nov. 2025) I didn't even know that she was married to Aditya Dhar

Contrary to Yami, I appreciated Tripti from her Sajid Ali film on and deliberately chose to watch her next two ventures with Anushka's production house... I got a bit taken aback about her Animal-choice (but I'm sure it was because of working with Ranbir)...and then I saw what her collaboration with Dharma did to her... and now she works with Vanga again... *sigh*

I agree with you... it seems like both (Karan and Alia) have panicked about losing relevance... still interesting that Yami decided to follow Alia's Instagram account... it seems like Yami, too, takes a little bath of recognition (regardless how much being Aditiya's wife plays a role).

Kiara's praise came some days earlier than Alia's and Karan's and did n o t give me the same slightly negative vibe of what I felt when reading Alia's and Karan's messages. Bias? I don't think so.
