Alia has a pattern of going after any director who immediately delivers success and hype. Yes, she’s been very lucky that KJo has brought her all the good scripts, which then with the help of her PR she has managed to sell herself as a great actress. But her real ambition has always been to be the superstar, to be the top actress, to be number 1. Why do you think she tried to call herself female Bachchan? But no matter how much her PR tries to push that narrative it won’t stick without a single blockbuster to her credit.

She's headlining Alpha!! How's that a Flowerpot role? If she just wanted a blockbuster she would've done War 2 instead. She's rejected 10s of "Flower-pot" roles from Rohit Shetty to Prabhas to Maddock to YRF. Brahmastra she probably did it as a favor for Dharma/Ayan/Ranbir.

I'm sure she wants a blockbuster but she wants it as a headliner. Love & War will probably give her that. There's a lot of time to do the bikini dance bit later in her career. The Rohit Shettys/Sidarth Anands aren't going anywhere.

A praising post for the leading actress of a movie that was released in early november at t h i s time now (followed a day later with her - former? - mentor Karan also discovering his fan-feeling for Yami)... well, I think that even an Alia fan has to admit that it incites - at least - to a big grin... no doubt that without the Dhurandhar-succes both would not yet have labeled themselves as Yami-fans.

As for Ranveer: Do you have a reporting source of the 14 calls or is it just a matter of dishing out something against Ranveer? ... what really is known is his lengthy talk with Vanga and a lengthy message to Vanga which latter - btw - found "incredibly insightful" where Ranveer discussed elements of the film that even surprised Vanga.

We don't know why exactly Alia did not feature in the series...may be it was not h e r decision. Yet now, it's actually about a belated praise adressed at the Dhurandhar's director's wife (until now Yami never got an openly published praise from Alia or Karan despite other good performances before).
