While you are right about a father being concerned for his daughter, there should be some limit to interfering in her life. Like stopping her from going to London for work because log kya kahenge. He treated Arya like a school principal, going directly and asking him not to send Anu to London.
He even directly called Meera once asking what was happening in Anu's life as he felt Anu was not telling him something. That was so cringe.
He doesn't stop there. He has this need to know every single thing she does, every single movement she makes, who called her, why she's smiling, what's in the parcel she has, where she is going and yesterday - the lipstick thing...like why? First of all they live in a tiny house with no privacy. Then all this constant why, what, who, where is so suffocating.
His reaction to seeing Anu in the party gown was also so irritating.
When he found out from Meera about the accusations on Anu, he went and locked himself in their house, leaving his wife and daughter to fend for themselves. A real concerned father should have had faith in his own daughter and stood by her.
Now emotional drama will start as he has found out about Anu and Arya. So not looking forward to it.
