Ok...now that the movie completed its one month run...Can we discuss the movie? here are some of the universal questions being asked on several platforms and lets see what our explanations are...

1.Why did Hamza cry while eating the food?

I think its because he felt pathetic about his life where at his own home he is not wanted, in his adopted home he has no identity and where even a good meal is not assured despite working his behind off, let alone reaching his goals....

2.Why did Hamza stop hitting Lulli Dakait when he sees Aalam, the doodh soda guy?

I think for a bit he got carried away but Aalam's presence reminded him of his mission and how it won't be good for their mission to draw attention...I think Aalam was the one who called the police.

3.Why did Hamza go out of his way to save Rahman the first time if he was going to kill him anyway?

By going out of his way to save Rahman, he earned the ultimate trust from everyone including Jamal and in a twisted manner even from Aslam...And I think its very important for his next steps...I think climbing up the ranks was always on the cards and Rahman was going to be killed off sooner or later...And I agree, he wasn't guilty at all for the brutal end he gave to Rahman....He was just overwhelmed by how he was able to achieve his first goal after all the failures he had to endure...Asathoma Sadgamaya recital shows that he sees his path much more clearly now....

4.Do you think Yalina was deceiving Hamza?

I think Yalina has already double crossed Hamza...If you notice her reaction after he asked her to get out, she did walk out at first but then there was a change in her facial expression from sadness to vengeance for a fraction of a second and then she calmly comes back closing the door....Even during their Walima, she kept an eye on Hamza all through...Plus she was shown right beside him during his journaling....She definitely is a red flag...Plus Aditya revealed that her character is going to surprise in Part 2.

I will come up with more, later....

He had so much pain behind thise eyes, i think second part will give us more insights into his background , which will give us more answers into his pain and tears. No actor from today's generation could have carried this role like he did, he is one of the best if not the best actor of today's generation based on not just this movie but also his range as an actor.

No actor (from India at least)could have made those gruesome killings looks like cool choreography..Look at the energy and conviction....Cant believe I am looking forward to such violence....smiley22smiley44smiley36

I want Aditya to make movies like The Wolf Of Wall street and Once Upon a time in Hollywood...I think he is the only director in India who has the conviction and scale to launch such larger than life movies grounded into reality....

Thank you for the recommendations...

Scam 1992 was apparently directed by Jai Mehta, the rumored director of Ranveer's rumored next, Pralay...Ab toh dekhna hi padega...

Can we please talk about the scenes which made the movie not just super enjoyable but also one of its kind?

I will go first:

1.That scene where Hamza smiles fondly to himself when he spots one of his female co-passengers in the bus showing affection to her child...It shows Hamza has no negativity towards the common Pakistani Citizens...

2.When Aalam introduces that salty tea to Hamza...The light used in the entire scene was a character by itself simply making it outstanding...But everything else in that scene also was just so so brilliant..Such a simple scene which is loaded with multilayered messaging..Starting from the friendly way Aalam and the chaiwala bhai exchange greetings.....The way Hamza smells the tea before taking the first sip and spits it out because obviously its salty...And how Aalam fondly reminisces his village but doesn't share the details when Hamza prods about it..And how Hamza accepts the silence as the answer, because you know they are not allowed to overshare even amongst themselves....These are the kind of scenes which enhance the watching experience with each repeat watch...

3.The entire Rambha Ho sequence.....One of the unique action scenes...Need I say more?!

4.Rahman's intro...Akshaye...his and Ranveer's chemistry is one of the best I have seen in the recent times...Now I really want another movie with these two...That Chandragupta Maurya sounds like just the right kind of movie for them...Ranveer-Chandragupta Akshaye-Chanakya....

5.I loved the Babu Dacait chase scene...we get the bird's eye view of the Lyari and was it simply mind-blowing or what...I have the habit of checking out the background people just to catch them not being in the scene but by God even the corner shopkeeper who was out of the camera's focus was completely in the character...Not a single blip....Another fantastic scene which enhances the repeat watch experience...

Ok I will continue the rest in another post tomorrow...But please do share your special scenes....

Man the movie has soo many hidden gems, it is soo good! I know why there's violence so I can take it , not excuse it, because it is not gratuitous, it exoplains well what dangerous world hamza the spy inhabits. So I wanted so bady to rewatch, especially to see certain scenes, so i went to see the movie again ! 1. Someone mentioned in some comment that the tea shop where Alam and Hamza /Ranveer went to talk was called 'Watchma Butt' - and lo and behold ! it is called that. I noticed it now, on second viewing and burst out laughing - how could I miss that name? 2.Then when they drank the tea and Hamza made a face tasting the 'tea', and me with the image of the name of the teashop fresh in my mind?? I totally enjoyed these scenes amongst all that fear you feel for Hamza being in such a crazy environment. 3. When Ranveer and Sara meet at Rahman's house for some celebration (Iftar?) and Ranveer gives her a present, one of the servants sees them and starts making gestures like hey, yo, what is going on?', Sara runs away and Ranveer/Hamza is like 'uh, oh, I got caught' so he makes a 'shoot yah' gesture to that old servant, in a comic way, and the servant runs (not sure if scared or understanding that he maybe should not talk about it and all is well, young lovebirds and all that). 4. When they go to the Balochi camp, the dancers ! I enjoyed it this time more and also noticed that hamza was NOT enjoying , watching the arm deals, but then he caught himself and realised he HAs to be seen as taking part in the celebrations so he starts clapping to the rythm. 5. Still at Baloch camp, when Rahman's bro gives the list to the old man, Hamza made sure to grab it,have it in his hand before handing it to the elder,so he could read all the info. 6. Because I wasn't that keen on the Intelligence officers being so matter of fact about tthe info obtained under such stress by Hamza in Karachi, I didn't really notice that some of them wanted to send the info from Aalam faster to the bosses, but other officers conviced the others not to, they were were like 'nah, man, we keep getting same info, no need to worry, probably they're scared and seeing too many dangers everywhere, better let them deal with whatever the issue is in Karachi'. it was clear now that some of the atrocities could have been avoided. Dunno if I missed this before or I wasn't paying enough attention, but it made me sad they didn't trust their own people on the ground. 7. When hamza was goading Rahman to go get revenge for his son and Rahman hit Hamnza, called him names, for a few seconds it looked like Hamza would retaliate or say something, but he reigned it in and stayed quiet, just observing Rahman going all mad. 8. At the factory, Hamza was scanning everything. Actually I noticed now that many times, although 'in the background' Hamza is scanning all the money, tranzactions, notes, checks the weapons. It is now clearer to me he was 'taking notes' of everything that was useful to report back. -There's many more that stuck with me, especially when Hamza unleashes his inner aura and beats the goons or fights with on the streets, in a very fluid motion. Many times he starts and he is all of a sudden super charged yet many times he suddenly stops like 'no, man, I cannot show them my combat training, need to reign it in'. He really in embodying a spy going undercover, in those moments. because a spy would try hide his training and try blend in. Loved it !
