Yesterday and today gave insight into Vik's thoughts.... It is clear that he is gaslighting himself into forgetting rotu and mannat...despite knowing he doesn't want to forget them or knowing he will never be able to forget or move on from them. But he can't let these feeling takeover because then he wants to get them back which is not possible....so he is just pushing himself to not think that way...Adnan's interview today indicated the same...
The way vikrant conversed with vish yesterday shows he is spilt in two ways, his subconscious self and his conscious self.... He convinces vish that she is his real mother and that's why she has every right on him, and it didn't feel like he is convincing just vish, he is also trying to convince himself ...
The same thing goes to other relationships of him post leap too.. His subconscious self know he cannot forget rotu, mannat.. And he also knows he don't want to... But consciously he is gaslighting himself to be happy, give other people place in his life to convince himself that he doesn't need mannat Or his parents...and he knows he is failing to do so
I feel it was not okay to show vik in relationship with yash, while he knows he cannot move on..... This is giving purely selfish vibes from vikrant.... Yes yash is gold digger, she doesn't deserve sympathy but has she been a good person then she would have been a victim in this entire scenario... And vik doesn't know her reality and thinks she is sweet and genuine, so for him to give false hopes to her to just fulfill his over-expectations on himself that he should try to move on,is wrong.... But if at all he is clear with all of this with yash then he might not be wrong..
If he has already cleared this thing with yash.. that he cannot promise her love/marriage or even moving on.. And that he is just trying to move on and there are chances that he will never be able to move on and she should leave if she is not okay with the chances that he cannot move on.... If even after all of this she chooses to stay then it her choice.. Then if and when vik fully realises and accepts that he cannot move on and leaves yash... Then yash cannot hold him accountable or shouldn't obligate vik to stay back.. Nor should she say he betrayed her.. Because he is already clear with his approach..
But if at all vik didn't clear these things with yash... Then he is definitely doing wrong giving false hopes to a girl who he thinks is genuine... And he will be definitely obligated to her.. And it will be difficult for him to walk away from yash.. And if he does walk away then it will look like he betrayed her.... I hope makers deal with this thing properly..
