Welcome back Player! It has been a very long time, but I’m sure you’re just as clever and quick as before. This time you’ll need to use that wit to save yourself and me!
You ask why. Well that’s because Moriarty has returned and this time, he isn’t alone. He’s cloned himself a few times and even gotten plastic surgery done so that he doesn’t look like himself!
Thus, it’s time for A Study in Treason, Traitors style!

After signing up, some of you will be declared Moriartys (between 3 to 5 people depending on number of sign-ups) and the remaining people will be Sherlocks.
After each round, I will post 10 people’s cumulative leaderboard at random. Then the Sherlocks will have a chance to name a contestant they believe is Moriarty to eliminate individually, while the Moriartys will get to murder any 2 Sherlocks together. What this means is that each Sherlock will name a contestant on their own, but the Moriartys will have a chance to work together to eliminate any 2 people.
After each round, 3 people will be eliminated. They may or may not be Moriartys. Once eliminated, I will reveal which party the eliminated contestants belong to.
If any of the eliminated contestants are a Moriarty, then the Sherlocks who voted to eliminate that person will get 100 bonus points, while the others will get nothing. There are no negative points for eliminating a Sherlock.
After we finish the game, if even one Moriarty is left standing, then that person/people will “steal” the prize and win, else the Sherlock who tops the leaderboard will win. What this means is that even if the Moriartys are not at the top of the leaderboard, they will be declared the winners!
Twist #1: The Moriartys will get a benefit. Each round they will have 50% of the answers.
Twist #2: I always write extra questions so that people do not get the same set of questions. The Moriartys will receive 50% of the total answers, which means they may have less or more than 50% of the answers for the questions they receive. For example, if I write a total of 40 questions for a round, then the Moriartys will have 20 answers, but those 20 answers may or may not be a big part of the 10 questions that they receive to respond to.
Twist #3: The Moriartys will get a chance to work together in Round 3, as in they will get the same set of questions for that round and they can then work together to solve the questions. Oh and they don't get any answers this round!
Twist #4: The Moriartys can decide to murder one of their own if they want. Groupism and ganging up on each other is recommended.
Note #1: Moriartys will be chosen at random. My aim is to have approximately 10% of signed up people representing Moriartys so this should vary between 3 to 5 Moriartys.
Note #2: I reserve the right to reject your sign-up. I also reserve the right to remove you from the game midway if you cause any sort of disruptions or problems.
