I meant they were together before his birth, as in once Nandini went to jail and Tanya was discovered to have been pregnant. Not before as in to conceive Manthan, that’s an obvious; but before he was born. They got together again because Nandini tells Karan that he cannot expect her to deprive the unborn child of the woman who loved her daughter so much of their father. Nor her own unborn child as well in the process.

My guess is Nandini sent him. Remember this is not true high stakes espionage drama but a saas bahu show, so it has to be a woman who does everything and anything mostly; especially in the thinking department.

She sent him and wants him to be an observer to understand what might have happened and possibly why. Probably try and ensure if someone tries to get Mihir married to Noyna, then he disrupts the process, in whatever way he can. The true question is who will be the Aalam to his Hamza in the Lyari of Ashanti Niketan. So far everyone is useless and I see no sharp silent veteran observers, unless it’s Daksha
