Jokes aside, I thought they've slowly started introducing very young players for the last two seasons. What with Sheikh Rashid and Ayush Mhatre and likes. But this year they openly took almost all young players, some people who can take CSK forward for the next couple of years... For now with Dhoni and forward without Dhoni.

Let's be honest now, Dhoni is overdragging himself to play probably for the crazy people who love to see him even once in a year. But in all honesty, how long will he be able to do that... For the next 5 years Max if he REALLY wants to. I don't think beyond that. He's 44 already, it's highly impossible he can continue doing it till he's 50.

And so comes an army who can take this team forward after him. And what I believe is that right now CSK has no motive to win IPL, but to come out of the shackles of a Dhoni dependent team. And it's best that they are weaning off in his presence, slowly and surely, without creating any sham like Mumbai Indians did when they suddenly replaced Rohit Sharma's captaincy without any respectfully done replacement.

We all know there's a batch of cricketers who are sitting at the helm of retirement from IPL. It's just that they're all slowly drawing themselves out without giving any major heart attacks to the fans.
