Not sure whether a linear correlation can be made by a serial’s continuity on air or its end 😂
The general entertainment on itv esp in the soap series is sub standard fare…
at any given time serials of poor quality are on air or they are yanked off - the decision to stop airing isn’t necessarily solely based on trp uniformly…even channels adopt different yardstick,
I have observed that Star seems to favour serials that have the ability to go on for seasons or generations…. They back a serial that can reinvent ( however stupidly) Rishta would now be operating centuries into the future considering the leaps….
Upma must be 80 years now perhaps and despite all her bluster she keeps falling to the ground after every flight so as to get on with new flight
I guess her core viewers just tune into her new shenanigans… it’s now accepted that for Upma… she will fight and then somehow she will again fall and then the Udaan apparatus is ready
UKA to begin with was light hearted stuff if I am not mistaken and a dose of slice of life for a certain milieu… I don’t know their usp but it’s a way to pass time I assume for that time slot..
Jhanak is a sort of anamoly in the sense that it was able to provide some sort of drama without kitchen politics in the beginning that appealed to sector of viewers but all it managed to do is create a sort of never ending loop of “kya FL ____( fill in the profession of the Gen) ho payegi? Earlier was dancer, now it’s whatever I don’t know…doc? Leena didn’t deliver a dancer and safely assume that this moron will also not become anything? If viewers are tuning in for lessons on what not to do, well Leena certainly delivers that!
