For someone who is a film critic, they have an awfully low tolerance to critisism lumping even genuine ones under “trolls”

So they host a live with their friends and everyone sharing the same views and patting each others backs rather than engaging in some good civil debate with say someone with an opposing view (you see they don’t want to be called out, just praised)

And any calling out is labelled trolling and brushed under the carpet while they give each other props for standing up to trolls 😂

What nonsense

A lot of the comments under their reviews are perfectly civil and point out their inherent hypocrisy and stupidity …why do they request token female representation in films like this? What is the problem with watching an all male cast of that’s what the script demands? Raazi was a female spy film so it focused on that…this one isn’t so it has males …how is that mysoginy?

Why is patriotism a problem the film is abt a bloody spy who puts his life on the line for his country? Patriotism is a theme that fuels the protagonist here

What is the problem with showing gangsters as brutal or bad guys as bad guys? The film literally plants the protagonist in a gangster land on a mission to eliminate criminals…they built the world to show that it’s a place where u won’t survive unless ur brutal.. and ur complaining that the depiction of criminals ain’t sanitized for ur tastes?

They have problems with a specific religion being shown as the bad guys but several films have shown people of different religions being the bad guys …it just so happens that this story has this backdrop…how is this whining any different to people who cry that a character who is a Brahmin or a has a “tilak” is shown as the villain..

They complain that the film is obsessed with Pakistan …where else would a spy mission of an Indian spy who is covert in Pakistan, be based in? Rajasthan?

These people better own up to their nonsense if they want people to take their reviews seriously …too much invading criticisms and patting each other on the back is happening here

I don’t endorse anyone who trolls or abuses the other side or makes personal attacks …they are all entitled to their opinions whether or not they like the film…but if they chose to voice it publicly as critics they should be willing to engage in civil debate to justify their stance rather than clobber under “trolls are attacking us” garb

Riiight films and politics…. let’s criticise politics of all films then

Trash ddlj coz it influences young adults to an unrealistic expectation of romance and relationships

Trash kabhie Alvida coz it influences people to cheat in their relationships and get away with it

Trash swades coz it shows the protagonist smoking in once scene and smoking is a bad influence …

Trash RRR coz it incites violence against Brit’s

Trash padmaavat, panipat / singham again coz it makes muslims look bad

Trash top gun for having no female leads and lack of female rep and being excessively pro America

Bajirao is anti Maratha coz they show Maatani being tortured by nana saheb…

Orrr..:these films are stories told from a perspective that u chose to like or not like …instead of giving a lecture to people what their ideologies must be …

Literally every film under the sun can be trashed with that “politics” logic which means people should just stop telling stories altogether to balance each and every perspective that exists on the planet

Yeh no

No one deserves abuse for their opinion…and no one deserves to be told to change their perspective and then make a film from a perspective that agrees with the “critic”
