BTW, a couple of other producers have openly said that Jodi's romance don't bring TRPS. One was Saurabh Tewari during Madhubala. (I was obsessed ), when the leads love story was built up and then the ML breaks the marriage as revenge. At that time the producer had said, the romantic episodes got lowest TRPs while the episode where he deserts her, got the highest!!

Sandeep Sikand had come up with that really funny, drama about a TV actress and doctor falling in love. And when the show went haywire, he blasted fans saying ...your trends for this Jodi and all make no difference, it's only TRPs, that matter.

Unfortunately it's true. These all producers have mentioned that romance doesn't bring them TRP but negativity brings. Blame the TV audiences who take this gory shit in the name of entertainment.

If we go back since Tulsi era negativity has always been on high than the positive aspects. Also no couple of ITV has ever been shown happy and together. Every jodi made has to be broken till the end of the show. No maker allows the jodis to unite and lead a happy married life. Exception here would be Kumkum Pyara sa Bandhan aired on afternoons on SP. I loved the pair there of Husein and Juhi as Sumeet Kumkum and somewhere Ishita Raman of Mohabbatein. Ekta didn't dared any third angle btw them and the couple stayed loyal to eo till the end of the show. Ofcourse it was bizzare post it's shift to 7.30 slot.

So what gives them TRP is negativity and seperation of couples. Mannat is no different on these terms. Albeit Mannat is shown as a difficult female lead than the regular one. But again she was turned to doormat just for the sake of leap.

Glad you have example of YHM , raman and Ishita , they were married forever and stayed together for the longest and it rocked the trp at late night slot ❤️ with light moments.

Unless the way trp's are measured is changed there wont be a change in content I suppose

btw people, do you all know that Sumeet and Kumkum one of the loved pair were actually devar and bhabhi and the initial episodes were of them having pure devar bhabhi fun and vibe.

I read this somewhere so didn't care much for the show.

Devar bhabhi relationship without tainting were shown in YHM, IB and I love these 2 shows

I am not a fan of shows where there are no boundaries in relationships
