Or decides to chase after him herself
BTW, will be very funny to watch Amar and Urvashi again together. They both were on one of the best comedy shows ever - Dekh Bhai Dekh. IIRC, Amar played the uncle of her onscreen boyfriend who was close to them in age and so hung out with them.
Speaking of Komolika I came across this. First ITV villain who was so loved and had so much importance in the show to like almost equal to the leads of the show. Till today she’s getting ads based on this iconic character
Also, it reminds me of Bhaya Bhabhi trope. It wasn’t Ghum first but her who married Anurag’s brother just to be near Anurag and Prena to get revenge.

Urvashi made her iconic.
People think she’s iconic because she was the original chalti firti makeup ki dukaan on TV and while that is true to a certain extent
I think what makes her iconic is how she’s dressed obviously to seduce, to attract men and we see that…. and yet at no point does Urvashi come across as vulgar for even the briefest of instances.
She made dressing up to the hilt from head to toe in complete Indian attire with the typical dusky Indian skin look ‘sexy’. Urvashi’s expressions could hold your attention so much that you actually didn’t care that she wore a sleeveless blouse or that it was a tube top or if she wore a backless. You couldn’t get enough of looking at her face to care about her body at all.
The fact that Ekta herself has tried to recreate Komolika with not one but two actresses and both of them combined couldn’t hold a candle to Urvashi as Komolika even now speaks volumes about her portrayal as a character and her talent.
Why men love her is obvious
but I think the reason why women love her is because she made them feel like they could be stunning, be absolute temptation personified even if they are clad in a saree. Remember her character came around the time when in movies we had the likes of Manish Malhotra dressing up top actresses - the likes of Urmila and Karisma Kapoor made us feel western dressing was so smart, sexy and beautiful while also being practical.
But in our country women have a love for the saree that can never be matched or swept away, Urvashi singlehandedly made the saree look like the single piece of sexiest clothing to exist if draped right and with confidence. She made women feel like they could wear traditional, (though obviously not with as risqué blouses as her) and look just as attractive as any western clothing clad woman or girl onscreen or offscreen.
It’s perfectly fitting that such a role would also be played by a woman literally named after an Apsara created by Narayan himself as the most beautiful woman to exist

This is why I love Vamps if written right and a strong actresses who can delivered. Ekta didn't create vamps but she form a lean all on her own. Especially those polished psychos like Meera from Kasam Se, Prithvi from KYPH, Geetanjali and Ramola Sikand from KKR, one of my favorite.

Noyna’s full name was mentioned by the maid in the jail today as Noyna Sarabhai. I don’t recall if Noyna’s surname was previously mentioned in the show or not but I do know that she’s supposed to be a Bengali woman.
Sarabhai is a Gujarati surname, not a Bengali one. Unless the writers wanna show Noyna was married to a Gujarati man by the name of Sarabhai and as his alleged widow still goes by the same surname.
Where was it mentioned that she's a Bengali?
