Dhurandhar Bhatawdekar" is the iconic character played by Utpal Dutt in the 1983 Hindi film "Rang Birangi," a comedy directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Bhatawdekar is a high-ranking police officer who is hired by a friend to act as a private detective in a plan to help a friend's friend's marriage, which leads to comedic chaos. The role earned Utpal Dutt the Filmfare Best Comedian Award.

All this may be true but as always,Samosas have created so much buzz.There is so much chatter around the film, that the film may be looking at 25 cr + opening.

Why do you name this character "the original one"? As far as I know, Ranveer's character has another name (not getting revealed in teaser and trailer, I think).

"Dhurandhar" means expert, proficient, someone strong and capable... it doesn't has to be the protagonist's name
