In today's episode, Angad's treatment in Vrinda's house is the reality of ghar jamai in society. It is the main reason why men don't prefer to be a ghar jamai. Even in a man's own house, he will be respected and loved until he provides. If not, he gets no love and no respect.

In Anupama and YRKKH, ghar jamai's are shown as powerful rulers of the whole house which is never the reality. But yes, only because they are having the control over business (even though it belongs to wife side), they are in the house.

In S1....there was a promo including all the leads of Star Plus glorifying this "Nature" of women...they glorified the unconditional sacrifice, pain and unheard things of women they did for their family....

They are respected as "Maalkin", "Badi Bahu", "Maa", "Bhabhi" and so many more terms

But...The day she decides she wants her part of property....she is questioned instantly...the same members doubt her, raises brow, asks questions...and somewhere deep inside terms her as baaki "Duniya walo jesi"...

Bas baaki log unke paisi ke liye ghaat lagaye rahe... Bas majaal hai jo itna kuch karta ho Ghar ke liye, woh khud kuch apne liye apna haq maang le!!!!! 😡😡😡😡

Kya mentality hai naa ... honestly Ese waqt hi lagta hai ki kya waqt sahi mein badla hai??¿!!!! Yaa sab ek dikhawa pe chal raha hai...

They kept the trp high and the viewers hooked to the show by dragging the karan-nandini-tanya track. There’s no politics played. Shows have a budget for every episode. HG are original cast members and veteran actors, they’re going to be expensive to have around as season regulars because if the show were to be extended beyond the timespan of the initially drawn out plan of a limited series then all the contracts will be renegotiated between the PH and the actors and therefore all the actors will expect a certain amount of hike in the new contract. The more they hire experienced actors like HG, who are popular and also charge more as they have played main roles, the higher their budget goes. But in their stead if they get the usual actor who plays side roles like say Jiten Lalwani, even if they have to renegotiate a contract in an unlikely scenario that the show gets an extension, it doesn’t necessarily mean the channel increases their budget too. They can keep Jiten around and even if he hikes his fee it won’t be a huge amount, while that’s not the case for HG.

This is purely a business, and they wanna keep the budget to a minimum hence why we have a season this time around where extras are around more in scenes unlike the previous time when we had the occasional scenes with extras but most scenes would be with the main cast itself.

The only people going sanely is our VriDang...living a peaceful life of both hardship, caring, love and respect to each other.....😍😍

Just let them be so....if possible Tulsi ko bhi waha se le aa jaye..👍👍

They are living the hardwork, searching for work together, sharing chores together, learning a life together among the all chaos in the "chawl"... Even then it's better than that SN jaha ab kuch nahi raha...sivay galat aur sahi login ke bich jung ke...

I truly hope so. I want the best ending for the show this time. Agree about Smriti. Last time when they replaced her the ratings suffered so much that they had to bring her back. So the show won’t work without her, and her screen presence and acting + her character are the reasons why. When I watched the OG Kyunki I was a child and didn’t pay much attention. I loved Karan Nandini and even though liked Tulsi but like I said I was a child so didn’t care too much about a middle age character. But seeing her this season I can see why because omg her presence and acting is next level!! The only way this show may go without her if they bring Karan Nandini. Otherwise I can’t see this show lasting without her

Yep, original season had 3 Mihirs and I believe Inder was the one who was replaced because people didn’t accept him but Ronit was accepted though he also played Bajaj simultaneously on KZK.

But Gautami didn’t gain acceptance even though she was around as Tulsi for nearly a whole year and they had to get Smriti back.

Smriti definitely is a good actress and I truly think this season has let her down in terms of writing because she’s been altered as a character and hasn’t been given as much of a scope to perform as she did in S1. Her scenes with Apara Mehta, Sudha Shivpuri and Hiten were top notch. She particularly excels in emotionally sad scenes as she depicts the heartbreak and pain of her character without going overboard and there is no screaming, shrieking or hysterics.

Smriti was the finest actress of the original K trio followed by Saakshi and Shweta respectively. The main thing about Smriti as Tulsi was that there was always a certain ‘thehrav’ to the way she conducted herself, a certain dignity; not to mention that she was also able to have chemistry with all the prominent cast members effortlessly. The writers could team her up with any other character from the show for an emotional scene and it would be magic onscreen regardless of whether it was with Sudhaji, Aparaji, Ronit, Hiten or even Aakashdeep. The casting of the first season was truly exceptional and bang on.

I think this might be so far one of the best written episodes of the show, I liked it a lot barring the song sequence between Mihir and Noyna because urghh

The undercurrent of the episode was one simple thing - money. Everything is about money.

Angad gets a reality check that he will never forget and Vrinda finally seems to show some spine when it comes to her family… all because her SIL feels Angad is a freeloader who is a burden on them. Funny how it comes from the woman who was dreaming of being a freeloader and enjoying a life of luxury courtesy of Angad not too long ago.

Tulsi on the other hand signed the papers and acquired everything owned by Mihir, per his own wishes and that set off alarm bells ringing in Kiran’s head and where he failed to make Mihir question Tulsi’s change of heart regarding this matter, Noyna succeeded…

In a rather clever way, the episode was a subtle commentary on how society views women and men when it comes to money in such different ways though both need it to survive equally. A woman who stakes her monetary claim is viewed as being money minded and selfish even though she has essentially devoted her entire existence to a man and his family. She’s sacrificed herself, birthed his children and looked after everyone in his family ranging from his grandparents to his grandchildren and yet the idea of her being the owner on paper was seen as almost a crime instantly. It started affecting the opinion others have about her as they look down upon her, including her own husband who made the decision himself without any coercion or threat or intimidation from Tulsi’s end whatsoever. He had these papers prepared without even her knowledge. But the moment Noyna says she would pick him over his money any day still manages to get Mihir to have a judgemental moment there when Tulsi was signing those papers.

In a sharp contrast, a man who makes no money is seen as a burden and is treated with no respect, even in the place where his respect is considered paramount. Even though it’s only been a few days since this man has stepped into this space. He has a long life ahead of him where tides can and will change but his current position was enough to make a woman who normally wouldn’t have even been able to get an opportunity to get close to him, order him around to do chores.

Truly one of the most well written episodes of the season so far

I think the ratings did suffer when she was replaced. That’s why they had to bring her back. It would’ve suffered more if there was no Karan Nandini in the show. The reason why they are not in the show this season is because of budget issues. It’s nothing personal as Ekta and Hiten have a very good relationship. I hope they bring them back 🤞
