One cannot even imagine becoming an international joke out of the last minute marriage postponement.

I sincerely-sincerely and truly wish them well and hope that the entire chat leak thing is all false and it actually is a health emergency that lead to the marriage going on a hold.

Otherwise, it might not be the case for Palash, but Smriti indeed is an international figure now, with winning the world cup and people DO know her. And as much as it is none of her fault, but marriage does drag them both. And to become a center of such negative association is such an impact to one's psychology.

More power to them and may they get our of this tricky situation and may they find peace and happiness in whatever happens in the future.
