The premise is quite unique but obviously they had to ruin it. The fl is stupid as fck. She gets pregnant even through the guy is like I can't have a child. He's childfree. He shouts at her and she's offended that he's not happy. Like bith please how dumbass you can be

The guy grovel for like 5 mins and girl dumbass happily accepts him back. Bollocks story unsatisfactory

The story happens in a circus, like taming of the shrew. The guy kept telling the entire book that fl is spoilt rich heiress which i didn't see. He's also apparently college professor , phd holder and Russian king dynasty still lives in a dirty trailer. She gets to know he's rich and not that offended that he was treating her so bad .

I rolled my eyes at the Russian czar dynasty thing but read till last. The silver lining is I learnt how to write a cold very cold emotionally abusive psyco ml.

But yeah irl and in books girls have negative under the earth level of standard. They are weak and forgive cause of sex. And ml can do anything and get by cause weak fl will always forgive him, so power imbalance till they die

There should be one book where ml dies in the end and fl is like thank God he's dead 🤣🤣

I was also ranting about fanfics lol

I think women writers also have the same mentality as the women readers who are easily pleased. You know one entire book of grovel would be fantastic. Men need to Beg on knees and cry. Also when fl say leave me alone listen to her. The forced physics proximity during that is so annoying.

Even reddit was recommending this book very much yesterday I was like let me see. I didn't like the book cover or the circus thing. 434 page of waste

Fanfics depend on writer lol. Some have better grovel than the OG work and others make FL take too much bs from ML.

If you ever find one, let me know. If I find one, I'll recommend it haha. It's basic decency to listen when anybody says no. Hate guys who don't respect that.

Is the Day dreamer one by Hannah Grace? How was it weird? I tried reading the Icebreaker one by that same author but couldn't get interested.

Who is Cold Justice by? I only found a series by Toni Anderson lol. (Tbh that looks interesting, I'm going look through the blurbs lol to see if I want to read anything. If it's the same author, I will avoid haha or try different one in the series.)

Book world misogyny is sometimes worse in other genres. Crime/thrillers - a lot of female characters aren't great. Have you read/watched Gone Girl?
