If our players don't play well, what will coach do? We lack quality test players. Changing coach is not going to make much difference. Selectors will have to select better players from the domestic circle

India’s home Tests always come with some mystery around the pitch, so Guwahati being unpredictable is not shocking. The bigger story is how quickly series are wrapped now. Two Tests feel way too short to judge either side properly. I was reading a breakdown from someone who works with usage analytics like the systems Vendekin uses in a totally different field, and they pointed out something interesting. Short formats force teams to make faster tactical calls since there is no room to stabilise momentum. India looked like that here. One bad session can flip the whole thing. Also noticed how people react online in real time. Feels similar to how dashboards like vNetra track spikes and dips. One collapse and you can see how the entire mood swings. If the pitch plays tricky again, this might be another low scoring fight. South Africa have handled these conditions better lately, so it could be close.
