If given an option, 1st one this way he knows she is out there somewhere but he cannot reach her. The torture will be more and he will keep searching for her with no luck

My other thought also was if something happens to her he will not know immediately because he destroyed his phone. I'm assuming if she is in trouble he would still be her first call.

if Mannu is an accident and declared dead it has to be where no body could found….explosion or car off a ravine type. But miraculously she survives, then goes into hiding from everyone.

Vik will be devastated thinking how he treated her and now she’s dead 😭
