The exit polls had shown NDA as the winner, but at the same time had shown RJD as the biggest party and showed BJP not doing well. But as of now, the reality of RJD and BJP in seats is completely opposite of what was shown in exit polls.

As of now, NDA is leading by a margin.

Legislative Assembly elections were held in Bihar from 6 November to 11 November 2025, to elect the 243 members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

The elections were held in two phases and registered a 67.1% voter turnout.

The major political fronts that contested included the BJP, JDU, CONGRESS, RJD, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) etc.

I honestly thought MGB will win with RJD being the biggest party and then BJP.

After the exit poll, I thought NDA could win but also thought that BJP won't do that bad as shown in those.

Nitish should do better work now.

I dont understand this bihar at all ..why people say there is no development there and why there is mass migration of people ? Are there anyone one bihar here ,ready for a conversation ?

How did they fall back so much that so many people have to go out of state for Employment? It is not like for higher studies or something but for merely working in garments shop, construction etc..why is education and Employment so backward in bihar compared to other states ? Im keeping politics aside here and asking general question as in Nitish kumar has ruled for so long yet he dint seem to improve state for better ..aisa nahi ki now if he is elected he will reform bihar in 5 years ..

If you haven't lived in Bihar or are not from Bihar, you won't know that things in Bihar are different from the rest.

1st Biharis are educated, Heck, they are most hardest-working people.

Things have been changing, you know, before BJP-Nitish, many places didn't even have basic things at home.

The jungle raj still gives them ptsd.

Lalu has done soo much damage to that state and its people that soo much effort needs to be put to make things better there.

I feel they will do better this time.

Also I am not from Bihar rather Jharkhand but before partition it was the same state.

You know none of my cousins use our surname? Rather, you use random names or Kumar/Kumari as surnames. Just in fear of getting kidnapped, lynched, killed, raped in broad daylight, that used to happen during Lalu tenure, and they had nowhere to go to seek justice.

This thing itself has reduced but just due to this fear itself, Nitish, even after not being a great CM, has returned back.

Also women are very happy with Nitish and scared of Lalu's party's return.

Unke time mein mard bhi kayi jagah shaam ko nikal nahi paate the, aurate toh dur ki baat. Also, shaarb bandi has made women happy and women had a huge turnout this election.

Also, I forgot to add, they brought Stalin to do campaigning, who literally keeps abusing and insulting Bihar and Biharis. Itni toh akal aur sharam honi chahiye that you don't ask for votes in the name of those who insult your voters.

Uper se people have started seeing his bs in vote chori matter, EC ko 1 bhi complain nahi karenge, SC nahi jayenge but PPT laga kar random logo ki pics ka misue karenge and drama karenge.

Earlier when Bihar and Jharkhand were one state, it had chance of development as there were many mines in the united state. But the corrupt politicians of Northern Bihar siphoned all the money coming from the mines of Southern Bihar. People of Southern Bihar, which is mostly tribal region, revolted demanding a separate state for them that is how Jharkhand was formed. After partition most of the mines went to Jharkhand and Bihar was not left with much resources. So Bihar is mostly dependent on funds from center for its development.
