Gautam married Ganga because he thought if he denied to marry her he wouldn’t get his share in the Virani family even when he was already in love with Tisha and she agreed to be his side-piece. Eventually the affair is revealed, everything is forgiven and Tisha is accepted as Gautam’s new wife post his divorce from Ganga.

Karan is shown as Saahil’s friend initially and the Viranis know nothing about him, beyond his name and that he is Saahil’s friend but hire him and also ask him if he’s willing to marry Ganga all because they are now guilty and want to get her settled as a daughter. Mind you, they know ZILCH about Karan and his family but want him to marry Ganga

Karan is aware that Saahil and Ganga have started falling in love and plays cupid. Eventually after a lot of drama, Saahil married his cousin’s ex.

Damini was Karan’s first girlfriend. She learns post her marriage with Gautam how he had Karan attacked on their wedding day and married her as a means to get revenge. They even had a different actress play Damini for a short while when she’s supposed to be evil and help Karan destroy the Viranis. The evil Damini playing actress gets some talks from Tulsi about mending her ways, accepting Gautam and them as her husband and family; and viola, there is a change of heart & the actress, quite LITERALLY, and Riva Bubber returns to play Damini again as she turns good and moves on with Gautam.

Nandini is introduced shortly after Damini tells Karan that she’s chosen to stay with Gautam and he falls in love with Nandini shortly. Ansh turns up and we know the story from there
