He wants to be unconditionally supported, listened to and told he’s always right.

This is not him falling out of love but him falling into the trap of Male ego.

Remember the season starts with him questioning Tulsi about spending money without asking him. He thinks she’s a housewife and so therefore everything she does is based on him earning and hence she should ask him before doing anything and follow his instructions and wishes without any hesitation or questions word for word.

Noyna is a financially independent woman who supports him regardless of what he says, thinks or wants even when she doesn’t have any need to do so.

What he doesn’t want to think about is that he has been able to run his business because Tulsi was looking after his family all this time right from his grandparents to his grandchildren. She’s not objecting to his decisions out of malice or arrogance or an ego trip that makes her always want to be right - she does it out of love for the family she’s helped raise and SHE has real stakes when someone suffers or has any problems. It’s her upbringing and her family that is questioned, mocked or called names if there’s something wrong. She’s the one who had to bow her head in humility, shame and humiliation in front of Ajay and his family.

Not one person would ever say a thing to Noyna if something goes wrong with the family.

Mihir himself points fingers at her and questions her the moment he thinks the kids did something wrong.

Mihir wants Tulsi to be liable and answerable when things go wrong but also wants to control the decisions thinking he’s always right. It’s akin to giving someone all the responsibilities and obligations but without handing them the authority and power to do anything, and having the chance to fire them when they don’t do what you want them to do.
