Dr Umar Mohammad is suspected to be the suicide bomber who was behind the wheels of the white Hyundai i20 car that exploded near the Red Fort on Monday evening. His mother and brothers have been detained for questioning in Jammu and Kashmir.

Security footage shows the car parked near the Red Fort for three hours with the driver inside, not exiting the car even for a second. When the car finally moved, it drove towards the traffic signal near the Metro Station, where it exploded around 6.52 pm.

The national capital has been placed on high alert with strict vigil being maintained at the airport, railway stations and bus terminals. Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed the security situation in the national capital and other parts of the country in the wake of the blast.

As many as eight terror attacks has been foiled by Indian agencies in the last 24 hours only. No credit , no noise , no campaign, just quite hard work and devotion to keep you and me safe .

It reminds me of that dialog from The Family Man , " Terrorists ko bas ek bar jitna padta hai, aur humein har bar. "

Always one of them .

Makes me question how true is , " Not all of them. "

No education, no facilities, no privileges can change their mindset of killing kafirs. In fact just the opposite, they weaponise every single thing given to them to enhance terrorism.

if one dies there will be thousands to take his place. The suicide bomber must have become a hero in his circle.
