Agreed - he genuinely liked Farhana and spending time with her. Baseer was a really good friend to Amaal, and tbh any grudges he had against Amaal are acceptable to me because when push came to shove, often Amaal either disregarded him as a friend or didn’t save him or didn’t check in on him as much as he should have when down. More than romantic angle I think he wanted an ally in Nehal.
