Angad just needs to tell Mihir and hopefully provide evidence of Mittali’s behaviour. He already has witnesses in Maharaj, Noyna and Suchitra, even a couple of guests. Perhaps he can procure footage from that restaurant too.
Mihir might not believe in the supernatural and think Mittali is having some psychological issues or a psychotic breakdown, but regardless of whether he believes that she’s possessed or just having a mental health crisis, he cannot force or expect his son to marry a girl in that state.
Angad geta a clean break from the engagement without looking like the bad guy or a cheater and Mihir has no chance to blame anyone including Tulsi.
Rather than rushing into marriage with Vrinda, Angad can start off by slowly getting a chance to date her and then a couple of months later inform his family that he’s in love with her, certain that his feelings are not mere attraction and reciprocated.
Mihir might be miffed by Angad’s choice of a bride even then but at least he can’t blame Tulsi for the situation and it doesn’t give a chance Noyna and her niece to play the victim card either. If they try, all someone has to do is ask them what would they do if the tables were reversed - would Noyna allow Mittali to marry Angad if he was either possessed or having a mental health issues?
