According to the SM hype, he was top 2 along with Bajaj then. It's not possible he had gotten less votes than either of pranit or GK. Like VD and KV were top 2 on SM then. Bajaj and Baseer were this season. Pranit probably was getting good support but GK has only started getting support now. Plus GK would definitely have MG as he is one of the highest paid so they won't eliminate him this soon. Tu nhi manegi but Baseer was eliminated unfairly. If he wasn't a threat, they could have saved him like they are doing with neelam and kunika.

Also if you guys think that mid weeks votes can't be manipulated by makers, that's not true. Jasmine was eliminated in the same way in bb14 and they told lie that she got less votes over Abhinav and Aly then which was false. Baseer k sath they did the same. Only finale voting revelation is valid. .
