There was one show dhadkan zindagi ki, Aditi was there and ropu entered later. It could have been serious medical show but ropu entered and his character was toxic, the fl's love life took over, and show gave another dude to her hastily as a consolation prize. Again when it went off air i was like good riddance

With katha ankahee there was another show, Jay and icha actress Tina eas there. Cute show but her outfits were horrible. Then KVB entered it went khichdi

And sony do spend money. The clothes are modern, sets look bright. Balh the initial epis it gave kdrama vibe. The show has known face working for a long time in industry. They don't touch mythological show much cause that runs on a fixed story. It ruins normal family dramas. If they are that insecure about ratings they can actually make contract and give 1 month ka epi. Within 30-40 epi end the show like pak dramas doing these days

And I don't think these kinda simple ideas which are coming to nobody like us, mba graduates sitting in those channel offices don't know. They just don't want to. Just like ai drama they are happy with mediocre drama - 0.4 araha hai na? Kafi hai inke liye

The MBA graduates working in these big media houses are from top IIMs and business school. They are the brightest mind. Its foolish to think that they aren't aware of whats happening in the market or are naive fellows who dont understand business. But Just like you said they are just being happy with the current profits and don't want to take chance or innovate their business model.

It better gets 3+ trp with all these shenanigans

There was that Raisinghani vs Raisinghani show as well which was promising.

They should follow the Kdrama schedule. Have approx 1hr slots in the evening and finite shows that air twice a week for a certain number of weeks. Don't drag the story if gets popular.

Be creative with the content and genres and have a variety appealing to different audiences and different age groups. Soap operas, slice of life, romcom, etc.

One of my friend was following that show,. apparently ishq ladana was more there then the lawyer thing. Idk how difficult it is to make a lawyer based show when kd pathak/adalat is right there.

Exactly yes I had said this before but if th se channels want, they can air their online ott shows in weekend or some other slot. It's just that they don't want to. They don't want to be creative, they have no desire to make their mark on this globalised era where Indian folks are watching usa japnese Chinese Turkey content. They are happy to cater to rural audience. No desire to educate them as well like colors used to through balika vadhu etc shows

Btw apparently colors deleted their shows , their insta is gone and it's complete chaos. Balika vadhu and a few shows are gone from jio

These three were way different from saas bahu and I feel pre covid finances were good for them.

Sony has given many realistic storylines and Sony is always a non saas bahu melodrama kind of channel.

I feel ITV isn't much profitable for channels so many giants are focusing on OTT.

OTT will eat away ITV in no time
