They should’ve called the show ETF and made it an ensemble show about the team. Show Arjun’s story but don’t make it all about him. They had so much potential with their cast and characters. The friction between Arjun and Sameer. The friendships between Riya, Shree and Chotu. Let other characters get their due and make contributions to solving the cases. Arjun can still be the smart guy who makes the clever connections but he doesn’t need to be right all the time or always solve the case. The others are there for a reason too. There’s an American show called Bones which I think does this really well. There are main characters but the rest of the team still plays important roles.

Going back to Arjun, Riya was definitely the best part of the show for me too. Totally agree about not liking asshole men in fiction though. If it was up to me, I would’ve made Arjun grovel if he wanted a romantic relationship with her. 😂 Sort out your issues on your own then come back and woo Riya properly! A proper slow burn but with Riya and Arjun on equal footing.

Sorry for the rant, I still have a lot of anger towards the show and I didn’t even watch until the end.

More than arjun being ass i hate there was not one person to stand upto him. He softens towards riya but there are times he snaps cause he thinks that lowly of her, example some random woman thinking he's her husband. Sameer is dumbed down. Other characters like shree chotu Aisha being at awe of arjun. Sakshi another wasted potential she's a simp for Arjun. It's like arjun the mary sue everyone falls for him 🤣🤣 he's the forensic he's the judge jury executioner. That's why I said he could be vigilante cause having a team did nothing for him.

Also he behaved with Karan simran (newbies once arjun was out of police) better than how he treated his own team and Rathore. No taunts nothing , treated as equal. But characters like shree chotu who were in same police force, had the same experience as him, who came from same exam interview phase like him couldn't have that respect 🤣🤣🤣😑 bitch please

Riya shree chotu were heart of team and I wish they had done more with them. Especially shree Riya being Bengali they could have shown their deep bonding. But nope everything sacrificed at the alter of brooding alpha man arjun. 🥱

yep yep. Also apart from bones there is ncis, my fav show. Even indian show like special squad and cid is here, when you know who is the central character but show is about others too. Aryan Khanna is the best character to show how the grief drives a man but he keeps his humanity intact, rather than being asshole. He is so nice to his team, he has his issues but he keeps it aside. There is shaina and Deepika who are romantic interests and you root for both. The characters have their own bonding own scenes. Love that.

I haven’t watched NCIS, will definitely add to my watch list and try. 😊 I’ve seen CID, but not Special Squad. Another one I will try! It definitely sounds like something I will enjoy.

Yes! I’ve been rewatching some of the episodes and Riya actually does sort of stand up to him in her own way. Like the movie star one, she talks about how she thinks he’s unnecessarily violent and might be psychologically disturbed due to her statistics. But Arjun shuts her up because he thinks she’s a coward and should go back to the research desk. And this is after she’s killed and he’s ‘comforted’ her. It’s so frustrating as a viewer! I wonder if he softened up to her because she called him out, even if he shut her up in the moment. Riya wasn’t scared of him besides a few scenes and I just wonder where the dynamics had gone had she not died. Probably nowhere good considering how the show ended up but still…

Yes about Sameer! He’s the Chief for a reason. It’s way better to have a smart guy who has tension and friction with Arjun rather than a a dumb one. It still annoys me! I agree with the other characters all falling for Arjun and being in awe of him. Arjun being everything the team needed was the whole reason I stopped watching. 😂 It gets boring so fast.

I didn’t watch the part with Karan and Simran but that’s even more annoying because Arjun clearly can be nice if he wants to. Respect is just basic decency.

Agreed about the heart of the team being Riya, Shree and Chotu. Their scenes together are the best part of the show for me. I wish they’d done more, even if they’d simply kept Riya alive and moved her to a purely research based role. The trio’s dynamics brought a lot to the show. I really liked the Chotu- Shree moments where they acted out conversations between Riya and Arjun. And Riya and Chotu had great scenes too. I agree about Shree and Riya. They should’ve shown more and done more.

Arjun was the FL of his show lol, he’s the most tortured, can do everything and ends up killing most people around him. 😂

I’m just glad there’s enough fanfic done better than the show. 😊 I joined forums for Gen 4 of YRKKH, ended up staying to read Arjun fanfic. 😂.

Yeah same I don't think Riya was ever scared of him. Maybe in that roshni file scene but never after that. And before her death they had some scenes where he's the same trying to shut her up and she sees through that. I think down the line his taunts will lose the heat and she wil brush them aside. What i so wanted to see and read in fanfics is how she stands upto him. Stop taking his bs. Straight away ask why he's so comfortable to taunt her everytime? Shut him down when things are too heated. Arjun becoming a man from the animal he is would be interesting to see. Legit taming of the shrew if you think 🤣🙃

Yes riya being research based or pr...if you have watched criminal minds jj was into pr then moved to case. Also they just wasted psychology and statistics in this damn show. Statistics isn't something silly. It helps so much in serial killer hunting, finding the possible zone killer is staying and why this killer is choosing XYZ places. Damn imagine Riya explaining things is depth. Statistics also helps in today's programming. Shree Riya teaming to make something etf inhouse progam to catch criminals - I need to stop thinking about wasted potential
