This has happened before as well but few non favourites outshined makers and won the season or turned out to be most memorable contestants even if they didn't win. That's also a winning quality. Also even if makers are favouring you if your personality is thrash then makers can't cover it for long and few contestants ends up losing due to that and they don't even get respect from audience. I agree with your POV.BB 19 is looking more like a soap opera than a reality show. I also think that those who had won this reality show before not only got ahead due to public votes but focussed on their own individual strategies as well.

Now certain winners might have won the earlier seasons of Bigg Boss due to their diplomatic strategies or even in a fixed alliance but during those days social media was not that much prominent like it happens nowadays.

In this digital age where every reaction is dissected or every comment is pounced upon only that contestant can emerge as the winner who not only manages to stay in the limelight but even plays the game smartly.
