It's considered infidelity or cheating when you have a monogamous relationship and you physically or emotionally cheat while hiding it from your partner. And physical is definitely worse - it's 100% the cheaters fault. Emotional can still have some gray area, but I find the whole emotional infidelity concept bogus and a defence mechanism for the weak
