I wonder if the timing of these comments is actually an indicator of something. It doesn’t seem like a coincidence to me that it’s happening when Saakshi and Kiran are roped in for cameos as Parvati and Om, and their characters will be onscreen around the same time.

I wonder if the cameos are a sly way of Ekta and SP also testing the waters for the reception of Kahaani getting a season two. If the TRPs of these 3 episodes proves that people are tuning in more to watch these 3 episodes we might just hear from SP how they’re planning on getting their other original iconic bahu back.

And if that’s the case then given the fact that Kyunki got its original slot back, so will Kahaani and we all know what that means for a certain show This is not just jealousy but also panic; SP might either cancel Anupamaa or move it to a different slot altogether where it dies even more slowly which will also have a ripple effect on their ratings as well as their incomes as a result. So I think the reactions are more about than what meets the eye.

Saathiya 3 with Rupal, Gia, Rucha, Urmila would hit 3.5-4.0 at 9 pm and perhaps similar ratings at 7 pm.

There is a vast difference between their status in the party as well. Smriti joined BJP and politics when Kyunki was ongoing and lost an election too all the way back. She rose in ranks and ended up becoming a cabinet minister.

Rupali has not even been called in yet for a single promotional appearance in any election so far as a pracharak let alone contested in an election from any seat. But since Bengal elections are upcoming we will see if that changes and know if there’s any substance to her enrolment or not. It doesn’t help that days after or around the same time she joined BJP the scandal of her having an affair with her now husband broke out and she ended up suing her stepdaughter for airing their dirty laundry in public.

She's arrogant today yes, because she has earned her place in the industry. I mean Shweta, Sakshi, Smriti can be allowed to be a little arrogant because of what they have achieved.

Like someone said in the reddit comments, she hasn't sabotaged the rest of the characters to highlight her own.

Nor has she given statements saying I'll never exit the show or bhoot banke bhi yehi mandrati rahungi ew.

I'm not at all a fan of Smriti the politician, in fact I think she was a miserable as hell politician (mujhe unki puri political affiliation se hi problem hai, ngl I hate the politics) but strictly speaking, as an actor woh aachi hai aur kaam badiya hai unka. She's a good actor by everyone's standards, no unnecessary screeching/fake Gujarati accent/making a bloody kabada of English/gaining fake sympathy/being a narcissist...I mean I go on but I guess you get the drift.
