It’s crazy how passive aggressive people get over things that are purely subjective. I’ve noticed that a lot with South Asians, most just aren’t taught how to handle differing opinions. There are literally multiple box office hits and critically acclaimed performances to back up the claim that Alia’s a good and in demand actress. It’s not some wild statement. Yet people get weirdly defensive about it. Like, relax and touch some grass.
Well that was kind of unnecessary, is there a particular reason you’re specifically mentioning ‘South Asians’? I know many different people from many different races who fall under this statement of yours.
It’s great that you love Alia but no need to throw an entire group of people under the bus just to prop her up. How sad is this?
@rckRadhe DP hardly won awards😂 personally i don't care. her and Kat's movies are more popular than Alia's. thats what matters. timeless movies like YJHD, Namaste london.
I doubt that very much

Privilege isnt absolute, it’s relative. Some are born with pretty faces, others are born into privileged families. Some just happen to have a godfather like KJo. But at the end of the day, it’s talent that does the talking, and Alia’s talent speaks louder than anything else.
She completely changed the game by proving you can reach the top on talent alone.
This is what you said before. And now you are saying that she is privileged, but that's ok, because she is talented?
You are contradicting yourself.

Am I contradicting myself, or do you just lack basic comprehension skills? Maybe I can help you out, being the generous soul that I am. When I said “talent alone,” I was clearly excluding the privileges you’re born with, like having a pretty face or coming from an affluent family. Obviously, Alia’s privilege is having a godfather like KJo. Just like some actresses are born pretty and use that to climb to the top without an ounce of talent. The fact that Alia’s actually talented despite her privilege is honestly a relief, and a blessing for Bollywood. Don’t hesitate to Grrrr me again if you’re still confused.
Kareena is your fav but who else do you like besides her actress-wise?
TABU
Urmila
Konkona
Not a fan of these 2 but the are excellent i can't deny
Vidya
Priyanka

Lol. Comparing a pretty face with a rich & highly connected family and a godfather who curated your career.
Yes, Alia is better actress compared to her contemporaries. But her talent was not enough to sustain without the backing. Her privileges are too big in comparison. Even established pretty faces like Aishwarya have suffered without support. And talentless Janhavi is gets away with slapping her co-star on camera & flops after flops. That's the difference between pretty face & well connected. Alia is 50X better than Janhavi, but she wouldn't be anywhere without her privileges. That's why Alia didn't have anything to say when the likes of Kangana called her KJo's puppet.

Look up the definition of privilege, hun. It’s something you’re either born with or something that’s bestowed upon you, something that gives you an edge over your competitors. A pretty face is a privilege in cinema, just like being well connected is one. Not exactly rocket science to understand, unless you’re really that dense.
