Basically Karan wanted to keep his promise and he didn't back out, so he should not be blamed ? The point is he didn't backout whatever might be the reason. So he should be blamed equally.

Narrative was never that Tanya used bhumi to marry Karan but say if she would have used Bhumi to marry then it was her way of marrying and she did all planning and plotting then karan himself walked in the planning. A relationship though forced or consensual takes 2 consenting adults own decision. There may be external forces like family or any other reasons but at the end of day its their own decision and no one else should be held responsible for the mishaps or decisions they make.
4. Why tanya did even need to force karan while the virani family was already pressurising him ?
So why blame tanya in all this when we know she didn't force him? Even Virani family or Tulsi should not be blamed. They might have forced him but he should have taken a decision on what is good for his life but he succumbed to pressure.
Virani family pressurized, Karan as consenting adult agreed to marry and he had option to deny but he didn't. And Tanya - neither used bhumi or Virani family to marry. She had her own selfish reasons to marry him and karan had his reasons one being Bhumi another being family's pressure but whatever reasons he had he decided on his own will after listening to his family. We saw karan backing out in Mandap but didn't karan ask Tanya to marry him? He mentioned for our friendship can you get married to me? Tanya didn't agree (you can say she didn't mean it but point is verbally atleast she disagreed) but it was karan who said "Mai tumhe mera humasafar , humkadam banana chahtha hoon". (ep 982) After saying all this fair enough he took a step back in mandap it was a red flag Tanya could have backed out but she didn't . She was always kind of second woman in his life but question is why didn't karan stop marriage? coz of tulsi, bhumi, nandini...whatever may be the external force decision was his. He should be held accountable.
Any Parents in real life ask their kids to marry, they tell you need family, guy is good and all but dont we just decide what is wrong and right for us? Parents, family may say lot of things but every individual has their own opinion and thought process. Its their life at the end of day so they should decide not others which includes parents. You can take their suggestion into consideration but should not solely decide on their suggestion and if things go haywire you should not even blame them coz it was ur will and decision to accept and move fwd with their suggestion.
May be here we are speaking abt a serial character and we can only draw lines on what is wrong and right by comparing a rell character's action with real life. Hence if we observe he took his decisions with his own will so he should not be given a clean chit. The decisions you take is you own when you are an adult. So no one should be held responsible for the decision you take.
5. Something that developed after 3 years but ended in just a few months can't be called love ....it's better described as short term feelings.
There is no hard and fast rule which says something which ended in mnths should not be termed as love. He himself admitted he loved her so why should we see otherwise?
6. It's not like karan having an affair with tanya. Karan didn't want to hide anything from nandini . He was feeling guilty about hiding . Karan talks to the doctor and says he wants to tell the whole truth abt him and tanya then doctor says do you really love tanya then karan says no I love nandini & only nandini then the doctor suggests that he better not tell nandini. Tanya started woe me act which made karan incredibly feel guilty which is why he used to sneak out to meet tanya and took bhoomi woth him because tanya would tell him I can't live without bhoomi. Karan definitely set boundaries that's why he told tanya clearly that he can't give her the rights of being his wife. He also said that as I love nandini the most, I can't cheat her ,you are part of my life but nandini is my life .
My POV is she never manipulated him or she acted in front of him to get married first time. She later after leap manipulated acted and what not but before leap atleast She genuinely loved bhumi and never acted. She was his wife and he had promised her that he will set everything straight. So she was expecting his to take some steps but the truth was he was madly in love with Nandini. Now looking at your POV even if we consider Tanya manipulated him by crying - the truth is he took bhumi without informing nandini. He met Tanya without informing nandini.
And regarding setting boundaries - its not just physical boundaries I am speaking abt , I am speaking abt emotional boundaries. He might have said I cant give you rights of wife when nands came back from coma but he was emotionally available for Tanya. When she cried - he might have felt guilty or responsible but he was emotionally available for her. Why didn't he set emotional boundaries ?
Hiding anything from your partner and meeting someone with or without any malice, Whether done in innocence or intent, hiding truths, being available for someone else emotionally willingly or unwillingly is nothing but emotional cheating for where betrayal begins and honesty ends.
7. If karan had lingering feelings for tanya how did he get over her so quickly in just a few months ?
"Lingering feelings" refers to emotions or sentiments that persist for a long time after a situation that caused them has ended, often gradually weakening and may gradually fade away.
Basically thatz what Karan felt - These feelings may be also love but it eventually fades out. Nandini came back and his love faded away.
8. Nandini never asked them to remarry. When nandini was jailed tanya herself came into sn karan clearly told to tanya that he can't give her nandini's spot in his life and heart, he was waiting for nandini to come out from jail , nandini also returned to sn after completing her sentence then how can one assume karan remarried tanya and divorce nandini ?
Nandini said "Tanya ka haath thaamlo" so basically what did she tell ? Be in "Live - in" ? Haath thaamlo itself means marriage according to ITV standards or even in normal life - this means marriage.
9. Let me remind you both nandini and tulsi forced karan to stay with tanya and take care of her because she was pregnant. So how could karan decide to be alone or could you really expect character like karan kick out tanya from sn ? Nandini made karan promise he will take care of tanya, tanya come back again into sn karan made it clearly to tanya that no one take nandini's place in heart and life . Tanya accepted it. Karan had refused to sit and talk to tanya but she went on a hunger strike then tulsi forced karan to take care of tanya. It's not like karan and tanya live as a husband wife in all these 20 years ,karan is depressed as he lost both his loved ones nandini and tulsi, and waiting for nandini's return with full of loyalty. Tanya is crying and always claims that she will leave karan the minute nandini comes back. But she didn't keep her promise . Everytime there has been a mention of nandini coming back she created a big fuss.
Karan's characteristics traits might be as you have mentioned but he decided to take care of Tanya for the promise he made to tulsi and nandini. Now it was his decision to be bound by the promises. He could have taken care of her keeping her away from SN as well but it was his decision to be bound by the promises he made and stayed with her in SN.
10. When did I say karan sacrificed his love nandini for tulsi's sake under someone's pressure ? And I want to make it clear that there was a party where both karan and tulsi told to each other that they had something to say , karan told tulsi to speak first then tulsi told to karan she wants nandini to be ansh's wife, karan obviously sacrificed his love nandini for his mother tulsi. And he kept his own words about loving nandini and wanting to marry her in his heart.
The simple point is he sacrificed his love for whatever reasons it might be. He knew nandini loved him yet he pushed her away. So why should he not be held responsible?
11. I have cleared up all ur questions regarding everything why I blamed tanya and why I believe karan was not at fault . I have an even longer list of blames of tanya, but here i only answered ur questions.
I am not saying Tanya is doodh ki dhuli or tanya is not responsible for her miseries. Tanya as character is not great even before marrying karan and even after leap but my post is not abt blaming tanya here...My entire point is Karan is also at fault. I dont see Tanya and Karan's marriage is wrong when Nandini was in coma...but their entire equation is wrong once she came back from coma.
I have said time and again that she was responsible for her own miseries but as far as I remember she was ready to bring back nandini but nands came up with fake husband narrative because she didn't wanted to break her best friend's home. However Tanya was fine to leave and bring back nandini is the narrative.Tanya went berserk later and create huge drama...she should be held responsible and blamed but why shud Karan not be held responsible ?
I have put my points on why Karan should be blamed. Karan stayed with a woman whom he didn't love, he wanted to bring back nandini after she served jail term. With Karan's characteristics didn't it ever strike to him that its not morally right to stay with a woman under same roof in pretext of him being her husband for 20 long yrs? He was bound by promise or what not but didn't he feel that he was staying with a woman whom he would leave one day when his love would come back to him ? So why shouldn't he blamed is my question.
Karan even consummated his marriage with Nandini but didn't it ever strike to him that he had already formed a relationship with Tanya and he is cheating nandini? Wasn't he morally responsible to clarify things before forming a relationship with Nandini? Any woman will feel cheated knowing that her husband had a relationship with her without clarifying that he had a relationship in past ...this is a reality which cant be denied.
Doctors may have warned that any emotional shock could send Nandini back into a coma, but that doesn’t make dishonesty acceptable. Love isn’t just about protecting someone’s heart; it’s about trusting them with the truth.
He could have waited. He could have found the right time and the right way to tell her the truth. But he didn’t. Instead, he chose silence, and in doing so, he betrayed the very foundation of trust their relationship was built on. Love isn’t about hiding the truth to protect someone; it’s about being honest even when it’s hard.
Pretending that he never shared anything with Tanya and she was just his friend when Nandini was in coma would leave a message that Karan was just waiting for Nandini for 3 whole yrs and that is how nandini perceived it which is not the truth. Reality was he had relation with tanya which he concealed from nandini and started a physical relationship with Nandini which was deeply unfair, both emotionally and morally. Nandini had every right to know the truth before rebuilding her life with him. Concealing such a major part of his past wasn’t care - it was avoidance. Even silence can become betrayal when it hides the truth someone deserves to hear.
KN had great chemistry even I rooted for them to be together. Though I liked them as a couple on screen , I would not turn a blind eye to mistakes Karan made. He should be held responsible for his mistakes.
