marriage is not a license for sex ..at a point when we are fighting for recognition of marital rape as a crime, it is pathetic that a show has a character at one point say that he was not in his senses while the other was and hence had greater responsibility to ensure that mutual trust was protected but failed to do so …and at another point says he does not absolve himself of blame ..what are these sick writers smoking …would they hold the woman responsible for whatever happened even in part if the situation had been reversed …would these makers and writers victim blame if a woman was at the receiving end …even if estranged, Armaan and Abhira were married when she was in his room in an inebriated condition ..if he had taken advantage of that and pressed his conjugal rights, would Abhira have been wrong in calling what happened as molestation ..why are the rules different when it comes to a man ..what kind of blatant hypocricy is this ..? You don’t have to be a doctor or police to gauge how much a person is drunk, any normal sober adult will be able to gauge it seeing the person’s condition. Armaan was unable to walk and he almost fell down when Geetanjali caught him in corridor and took him to room holding his hand because he was unable to walk himself, made him sit on bed, switch off the lights and went close to him. Nothing was initiated by Armaan himself. Just a day before, Armaan firmly in clear words told her there will always be distance between them and also reminded her many times why they got married(for which Geetanjali didn’t have an answer so she very well knows) . That day morning itself, she saw how uncomfortable he felt and left the room when she was coming close to him. Few hours back, she herself told Abhira that Armaan has lived in her memories for 4yrs and will always love her only and begged infront of her for him. So now within few hours, she assumes that Armaan has started loving her and also confessed his love to her that too in fully drunken state so she will immediately take him to room and sleep with him ? Who would want to sleep with a partner who is heavily drunk that he isn’t able to talk or even open his eyes properly ? Unless you very well know that you wouldn’t get such opportunity when he is sober ? Why couldn’t she wait for him to wake up in the morning to talk to him about his confession and then take things forward?
