between gen 2; 3 and 4...gen 3 was the best written with characters having consistent traits and good character growth and arcs. Also gen 3 story made sense.. gen 2 and gen 4 had 2 popular jodis that were just messed up for trps..karthik naira break ups and remarriages were a joke..and here they made armaan behave so irrationally when he took pookie and ran... it was the most illogical way to separate a couple..

Gen 1 was mature frankly.Naitik grew up from a tantrum throwing mumma's boy to a caring husband and father.Akshara grew up to be mature. Gen 3 had a storyline.Like characters where having consistent traits and growth arcs.But ruining manjari, ak and manyu was done bad.Manajri was a good mother in law and her bond with ak was really ruined.

Dkp messed up with this behavior of armaan..yes it was also a rushed decision because originally they were going to make ruhi the vamp who separated abhimaan..but that track wasn't bringing trps so they discarded it..and brought in the running away track..and this track really destroyed armaans character

Armaan was barely bearable before gen leap but his whole character is a gone case now.
