I remember, he comes and says I never doubted tulsi... I was pretending because of some xyz reason...

Post mandira, he was degraded... it was tulsi and karan ... guiding the truth... I stopped seeing the third generation.

Before dying there was no other woman angle... he hated payal more than tulsi hated her.

Payal incident happened after their marriage, I din like his thus side , whatever they issue may be you can't show slap to your wife and even now also he can raise voice to nandini but never confronted pari for her deeds and it's not like she the only daughter he his having, shobha is his biological daughter and he was not that possessive for shobha .

Mihir honestly didn’t deserve the smooth forgiveness he got in S1. He had a one night stand with Mandira, broke Tulsi’s trust, and yet the story allowed him to move forward without truly earning back her trust and respect. That’s not the behavior of a strong husband it just showed weakness and selfishness of Mihir. Ideally she shud not have forgiven him but story demanded Tulsi accepting back Mihir coz she was a Sanskaari lady and sanskaar in ITV logic is directly proportional to forgiving sins of husband. Tulsi forgave him not because he deserved it, but because the show wrote her as the “ideal wife” who always puts family above self. Back then I believe audience accepted this because they were used to seeing the woman sacrifice and keep the household intact, no matter what. So I suppose Tulsi staying was presented as noble and strong, when in reality, it was unfair to her.

The truth is, people loved the Tulsi Mihir pairing so much that they overlooked his flaws. As far as I have read Kyunki was supposed to be a story of widow remarriage. She was supposed to marry Anupam but there was nationwide outcry to bring back Mihir and story was changed. But from today’s perspective, it’s clear Tulsi carried that marriage with her dignity, while Mihir stumbled to his temptations and the script gave him more grace than he really earned.

In short I would say Tulsi continued life with Mihir because the narrative demanded sacrifice, and audience were rooting for Mihir-Tulsi. But tbh Tulsi deserved far better than what she got.

Yes, it was pre planned that Mihir would die Tulsi would remarry again but because of the whole nation calling out Ekta he was brought back. The moment I saw a lady doctor with Mihir I had a strong feeling where the track was heading. Memory loss and then eventually the doctor turning into a psycho. These became common tracks in every show . I was happy there was no social media. God knows what would have been fans reaction. I guess people would have personally messaged her on Instagram and X. It would have been a total chaos.

I don't know if anyone remembers the stolen necklace track . I think it was during Kiran's marriage. Savita gives Tulsi the keys as a ritual of accepting her as the daughter in law. Then she schemes with both Ketaki ( I forgot her on-screen name) and Gayatri to steal the necklace. And, naturally Tulsi was blamed. It was JD who helped her to get her name cleared. Then later there was a scene where Tulsi asks Mihir if he also doubted he doesn't reply. I think Mihir was always flawed.

I understand that Mihir is flawed. But I don't agree with the fact that Tulsi accepts him despite all his wrong-doings. That, in my opinion, does not show strength. Its highly regressive to promote women staying in marriages where the man treats you like sh*t, cheats on you, doubts you, and disrespects you every chance he gets. No matter what, you can always expect Mihir to misunderstand his wife. And I remember how Star Parivaar would always promote Mihir-Tulsi as an ideal pair. Its all compromise from Tulsi and just smooth sailing for Mihir. It gets irritating because so many Desi household elders idealise Tulsi. Being treated like garbage by you husband and staying should not be idealized

Exactly and inspite of this they used to get the favourite pati - patni award. Many house holds keep a wife / daughter in law on a pedestal when she puts up with her husband's tantrums quietly but if she dare speak up she becomes bad. I haven't watched the entire series because it has become too toxic. Even now it is toxic with Mihir lashing at Tulsi by getting influenced by his daughter's manipulation, asks his daughter in law to leave the house and ignore's his daughter's wrongdoings. This is getting too much.

Mihir is true to character of majority men of 90s and early 2000s(who were like 25-30 years old in early 2000s)

If you think how your fathers gen were in adult hood it was like mihir viranis mostly

If you think how your grand mom treated her daughter in law its like how mihir mom treated tulsi
