The actors are few but the crew is large...so there's so many people's jobs at stake. That's why it’s so irritating to see people say the show must go off air. If you don't like a show. Just stop watching it. Don't ask for it to go off air and other people must lose their jobs and suffer financially just because your favorite fictional character is being messed up..
