I want to bring in KA reference since many of us have migrated from there.

I think we can look at this particular issue from 4 equations...

Katha - Viaan, Bobby - Shalini, Ani - Sonia and Malla - Vik.

Why I mention Katha is because the confrontation VR has with Katha is my most fav scene of the show and how maturely they talked about it. Katha wanted a loan, VR made it transactional and they went ahead and had an ONS. It was consensual, both in senses. VR even asked her one last time before going ahead. Later Katha never guilt tripped him (from what I know... correct me if I am wrong... didnt file a case on him like Aish is blaming Anirudh now and Mannat wants her to do). She kept it transactional like he wanted.

When he confronts her, even then she doesnt guilt trip him for the act, she rather questions his misplaced morals and ethics. She questions why is he in guilt when he knows the money was for Aarav's treatment... and not for her own enjoyment? Why the judgement on his part? I remember gushing for this scene and showing it to my husband for how they addressed it....

I realise now Mannat said the same thing to Ani when she said I dont mind women who live their life on their own terms... implying live in partners and having s*x outside marriage.

Bobby and Malla are similar that they didnt consider the other party's consent. Shalini was not even the intended victim. It was Mannat .

Malla was ready to go ahead when Vik passed out, knowing well he was not in his senses and imagining Mannat. Both then played victim... Bobby by saying he didnt do it and Malla by saying Vik over powered me and I couldnt control. Malla was even trying to wake him up so that they can finish the act

Katha was alone in the hotel room, Malla was in her house, surrounded by her own family. She could have shouted and got help to stop him if she wanted. She rather paraded herself half naked in front of her own family. Thats not innocence... its guilt tripping and trapping someone by making a spectacle.

Again Katha didnt guilt trip VR nor filed a SH case... she kept it as it is... kaali raat... bygone be bygone...

Aish is another example where she consented earlier but is now making false accusations. Something Katha could have done had she had ulterior motives. She refused the SH aspect.

All I am trying to point out is the victim in this case is Vikrant and Anirudh... but they face scrutiny because they are men. But the motives of the women in question, ARS and Malla are one that is the problem, not someone like Katha... but the society will support them.

Katha vo sab kar sakti thi jo Aish aur Malla kar rahe hai... trap him in MeToo kind of case, exhort money, marry him... anything... but her motives were not questionable, Aish and Malla's are.

Thats why any proof Mannat identifies will erase the guilt for the act for Vik but it wont unmask Mallas vile nature for him until he starts thinking of himself as the victim. Thats why I mentioned the conversation in the morning which is only known to Vik and Malla, Mannat cannot help him when she doesnt even know. He has to think about this himself.

Infact we shouldnt even call it as ONS... that was an assault on him.

Adding another angle which is the insecurity Malla has... Vik is not divorcing her because of the ONS, its because of the poisoning. ONS is immaterial to him, he would have divorced her without the kaand too. When she and the entire family knows ManVik love each other, by not letting him divorce Malla, its like Malla's wish is the only thing that matters... not Mannat or Viks.

Malla is not insecure because Vik loves Mannat... she is insecure because she knows she has trapped Vik in a false marriage. Had she finished the act I feel her stance would have been different.

Thank you for giving more clarity on many perceptives,Moor..I needed it for better understanding of broad spectrum of ONS,SA, Consent in sex, SH...It's a difficult task to understand the depth of different concepts in different situations...Looking forward for more analyzations on the subjects.🥰

Sonia tried to get him to rob the store and decamp wirh the jewels. He refused....she did with his former accomplices....a guard tried to shoot Sonia Anirudh took the bullet but Sonia revealed loudly that she will bail him out ...he got arrested ...she came up with thr story that she learnt just that morning she was pregnant with his child and wanted a better life for the child will now surrender and he can raise the child....anirudh fell for the story and sent her away she left with a smirk....came later to tell the child had died and having lost her live and child she was leaving the city.....after languishing in jail anirudh on his release was helped by friends. Started dealing in stocks and made it big.

I think we all agree on one thing that’s the inconsistency of writing in Vikrant’s character.

TBH I also don’t get why writers are hell bent to ruin his core character🤬.

I agree that he should question all not just Mannat. Proof criteria should be applicable to everyone not just Mannat.

And the way he send Bobby to Jail despite being a family member then this should be applicable to everyone including his mom and Malla.

Even I have same problem with Neetu and her unwarranted hate towards Mannat and Vikrant is not bothered about it. Like I said in my post to @RD that now with Ronny’s support he thinks Neetu will come around but problem is ARS will not let that happen because of the secret. Neetu is scared and don’t want to loose him so she will try everything to keep him with Malla.

About ONS we all are on same page. He shouldn’t feel responsible for it because he was not in his senses but Malla was and she still tried to go ahead with it though nothing happened between them because he passed out. She made him believe about it.

Remember we had same discussion why he is not questioning or any other family member to Malla for that matter . When everyone knew that Vikrant was intoxicated but Malla was in her senses and she could’ve stop him but she didn’t.

This should be the triggering point for Vikrant because she told him that he imagined Mannat.

This one thing he should understand that Malla was in her senses but he was not. So basically she took the advantage of the situation not him. So he shouldn’t blame himself for that. Malla was responsible for it not him. Like you said If she wanted she could’ve stop him, pushed him and gone from there but she didn’t and carried with her deed of trapping him saying because I feel for you and guilt tripping him later.

He should really think about it.

Again you gave KA reference. Yes their consent was involved which is not the case here. Viaan asked Katha if she is really okay with it. She still can go and he will not stop her or force her. Though he was in position of power but he didn’t misuse it. He gave her that choice. Which lacks here in case of Vikrant. Why only girl’s consent matters not boy’s? Vikrant’s consent was not there when Malla did those things to him. But he feels responsible because he was not in his senses and Malla is guilt tripping him for that 🤬. TBH it’s not like he forced her in fact it’s other way round and he should really think on those lines. He should stop blaming himself for whatever Malla did in the name of insecurities🤬.

Again agree with that he should start thinking about all the happenings around him. He should investigate on his own like Mannat is doing. Just because he saw Ani and he assumed that he only tried to kill Mannat? Why and how? Because he was supposed to be on that crane not Mannat. When Mannat told him she saw one girl in footage but then again he is stuck on Ani being culprit.

I would love to see ManVik against all the evils of SM but writers are hell bent to make it look like it’s only Mannat VS all. Most important thing the trust factor. It’s still not resolved yet. Whom he will trust if again the allegations are made be it anyone?

If he really wants to spend his life with Mannat then he really have to bring Neetu and Mannat on same page but it will not be possible because of ARS. He have to learn to trust Mannat without any proof like it generally happens in any couple. See mine is arranged marriage not love marriage but we both trust each other. No questions asked if other person is saying something and that’s how it works. I know trust shouldn’t be blind and in fact it should give you that space to say anything to your partner.

Here I feel writers should bring them on same page regarding this issue. Specially Vikrant, he should be able to trust her without any proof or with proof doesn’t matter.

Like I said in my earlier post to @RD I would love to see ManVik against ARS. Him being her BDB, protector against ARS like he was on that fateful night when she was born. Hope writers will actually bring them together regarding trust factor and they will be together against anything come what may🤞🧿

You have perfectly summed what I have been trying to say in so many posts.

I am frustrated that the writers are not giving that thought to Vikrant that he was probably abused. Like you said if a girls consent matters why not the boys??? And thats where the morning after conversation matters.

I am not saying Mannat shouldnt tell him... but that will only prove he cant do such a thing. I feel that belief should have come from himself and he should have been more admant on this fact. Also that Malla was ready to go ahead.

OG Selim was supremely confident on this fact and even took beating from Melisas father and her uncle because they thought he is rejecting his involvement.

All we want is some consistency in Vikrant... the one we were introduced to ...

But I do understand that they keep Vik hanging just for dragging the episodes which is actually the most irritating aspect.
