Any half-decent serial that I start to watch gets axed due to TRP these days.

Mumbai, for example supposedly has 2k meters.

With a population of 2 crore, that means 1 meter represents 10K folks.

One could argue statistical sampling, but I think Sony's viewers (very, very niche set of urban folks; probably more likely to watch online than offline) are badly under represented here. Which explains the dismal TRP numbers their fiction shows get, despite being pretty decent on paper.

I don't think any one of us here on IF even have that elusive meter at home- I know no one in my circle who does.

Which is why I keep beating on that TRP drum; until it's resolved, nothing will change on ITV for shows like BALH.

Bit disappointed that it won't even make 100 episodes, but a high-budget show with well known actors means the PH would prefer to axe rather than slash budgets.

Look ... It started as a finite series, even Sony finance head gave statement, BALH generating more than they expected, it was supposed to be 250 episodes..... Even they show with good ending in TV, they will shift to Sony LIV to complete the story😊😊😊

If Ekta want to continue to show such good story 😄 😄 😄, but there are rumerors Ekta want to end before nagin7 starts🤷🤷🤷, if that's the reason.... We can't say anything 😔 😔 😔 just she ended KKB just because she doesn't shift the timeslot of the show🙄🙄

If so BALH4 will be another Katha kuch ankahisi jaisa hojayega😞😞...

Good shows can only be saved, if there a revamp in TRP system, as in many households sitara runs from everyone to Night just like that🙄🙄🙄, even if OTT views should be considered to get TRP, unless toxic shows like Anupama & Rishta ( which are totally trash) will get more TRP than good shows like BALH😒😒😒

I have never been fan of ITV but when Harshad is on screen, I come back. This story had such good plot without much of bullshit. But they had to ruin it by giving leap so quickly and then ending it abruptly.

Same they did for Bepannah aswell.

The story there was going really good and then they introduced saas bahu drama in that and ended it abruptly.

This is so unjust for us as audience aswell as the actors who put in so much effort.

Shivangi had put on so much weight for the character. I feel for them.

Who watches on TV now a days? People mostly have shifted to OTT. And on OTT this show is doing so well then why only consider TRP as measuring parameter. 😡😡😡😡

The thing is for example, I tried to put Tata Dish in my home, there was so much drama and no support, so I don't have the connection even anymore. Even Tata is promoting their apps and discouraging folks to get Dish by such a horrible support and asking money for every other things. TV is now internet enabled which directly has all the apps, you already have subscriptions these days, so you go to the apps directly.

Even if I want to watch on TV, I can't. And this is the story of 95% population in urban areas, no one wants to go in the hassle, in rural areas TV cable connect is there with low end TVs.

Now how the hell I ma supposed to watch bad contribute to stream, even if I want to? That's why all the shows TRP has gone down, at one time long ago highest TRPs used to be in 4 or 5, no one is even close to half of that today. The BARC system isn't upgrading with the changing technology and that's what ITv's downfall is.

At least Katha had time to complete the arc, they had enough episodes. I feel the story is incomplete here, this is Bepannah all over again.😭😭😭😭

I so agree yaar, Bepannah also they did us so bad, the whole setup of them having failed relationship, they were supposed to get to a successful relationship after that, but they rushed it so much after Adiya marriage, that's what the actual story was built to, them handling things that they failed in their previous marriage.🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I swear, ITV deserves no good actors.

You see Raisinghani vs Raisinghani as an example. The show has intersting plot but writing is so mediocre right from the start, still it ran it's full span cause it released as OTT only on SonyLiv. Why the hell we can't have more shows like that?

Harshada’s previous show humsufars also ended with 100 episodes,, I liked his character and the show was also interesting to watch except for the slow narrative. But the plot was very different.. I don’t understand why people don’t like to watch shows that looks different from regular dramas.

I was also watching Raisinghani vs Raisinghani because of Jenny. Agree to your point that the story line was mediocre yet completed the series.

I wish the decision makers give some thought and continue this show on OTT rather than completely going off air.
