This. They thought they would get more trps from this mindless melodrama but the fan base was built on a soft, emotional story with its own highs and lows. Zaveris being sidelined was a major blunder, as was excessive focus on Sonalika. Especially because there was never anything from Shivansh's side. The script made it clear. Namik made it very clear that Shiv didn't even think of her as a good friend and she annoyed him with almost everything she said, but they gave her so much screen space

Ufff the way they forcefully tried to make Sonalika relevant by playing with Shivansh character was infuriating

It’s like they built this beautiful garden and then let weeds take over—such a waste of potential. You can feel how good it could’ve been if they had just stuck to the stronger arcs and characters instead of these distracting detours.

It's sad. They decided to forcefully make it fit the old format of wife vs ex, but here even the hero wasn't interested in his ex.

This show's theme of two men i.e half brothers fighting for a woman...was sooo cool...

And different from regressive ITV trend of pitting woman against eachother...

But they sidelined Zaveris and what I am hearing is they didn't even give raunak a proper closure...so sad... Akshay was started this season as ML.... it's not good

We should compile a list of Shivansh's flow flow mein nikli hui words. Prarthana is khoobsurat (BM, why did you question that, Prarthana is beautiful), Usse Prarthana se pyaar ho gaya, Prarthana uski jaan ban gayi...can't wait to add to the list

Akshay deserved better. Raunak deserved better. We deserve better.

And they let Rakhi go without Shiv-Sneha-Raunak reunion or angst, they are going to skip Janmashtami angst abd reconciliation between Shiv-Smita. They lost their chance at found family with Shiv being accepted by Baa, Kanti and other Zaveris.

At least Prarthana got her mom.

Exactly! That’s what makes it so frustrating—the show keeps sidestepping these pivotal emotional beats that would have given Shiv’s character real depth. Rakhi could have been the perfect stage for a Shiv-Sneha reunion or even for showing the cracks in Raunak’s obsession. Skipping Janmashtami angst with Smita is another huge missed chance to explore Shiv’s vulnerabilities and their messy, layered dynamic.

Shivansh 's whole arc is tied to abandonment and betrayal, and the moments that could have shown him finally being accepted by Baa, Kanti, and the Zaveris are gone. It’s like they’re leaving his “found family” storyline completely untouched. At least Prarthana getting her mom was a small win, but Shiv’s journey still feels incomplete because the core emotional threads that define him aren’t being explored.

It’s like they’re ignoring the very stakes that make the characters compelling

They pull the same stunt every time and it’s so annoying!
The ML’s backstory, his past trauma carries the entire show in the beginning..they pull the audience in with that hype only to eventually sideline him and make it all about vamp vs FL

Same happened with RV and now with Shivansh. Abrar toh openly expressed disappointment in an IV post exit that KKB became overly female centric and didn’t give him much scope to perform while YHC gave both leads equal importance and SS .. which is absolutely right.

Good for him that he spoke up about it. I hate it when the ML's trauma is used to hook the audience and then it's about the women fighting over the man. It's the kumkum war, which is fine but don't lure in fans by giving your ML a well-thought-out back story and lots of depth? Put that effort in your FL. They rarely do that but in the end it's the FL who actually gets her closure. Here Prarthana will find love and she has reconciled with her mother, whereas Shivansh...he is shaped by his past with Smita. He married Prarthana because of his past with Smita. But the last we saw about it, was about Prarthana.

What a disappointment.

In the end they decided to stick to the kumkum war and Shivansh was sacrificed in the epic fight between the ex and the wife who fate chose for him.

I always interpreted it as kumkum working as a guide who sent you to your soulmate, the guy who was destined for you and vice versa, but I saw it as a mutual thing. Both of them finding their home in the divine blessings of kumkum despite the circumstantial / forced application of it. But Ekta always showed it as a right / claim over the man. I had hoped that since if was 2025 things would change. But no, it's still the same recycled trash.
