Post in favor of Malla and not her crime.
Aishwarya is classy but dangerous -- can kill to survive -- and the lead antagonist. They cannot expose her now or tomorrow -- by expose, I mean, reveal her truth to Vikrant. So, what the writers do, they fatten Malla. Make her crimes too big and her character nauseating. Layers are added to her crimes: so, first, they make her do fake ONS and trap Vikrant, but the writers do not want the marriage to fully dissolve, so they add another layer of crime in her CV, poisoning children -- so her fake ONS revelation can be pushed for another week. Then she goes one step forward, and hires goons to rape Mannat. I don't think this truth is coming out any time soon. [It was a crime done more to bring Aishwarya back to her seat as the lead antagonist].
If there was not a criminal as nauseating as Malla, the outbursts by Vikrant and the plan by Mannat would not have worked. For protagonists to shine, you need an obnoxious antagonist(s) too. Malla is playing that role at the moment. Some credit for the TRPs go to her as well.
