separation is fine but I don't like misunderstandings.
If Shiv is a shrewd businessman, he should by now understand what kind of person Prathna is.

Yes you are right I didn’t think of it that way. I was stuck on the twirl
. I only saw twirl, Smitha - Shivansh and Prarthana -Kalyani scenes.
I guess it's also a way to insert PraShiv scenes in episodes so we don't complain. I wish they had thought of that when they had initially shot these episodes and made PraShiv scenes more meaningful...the evidence scene could have been shown in one of the episodes and not just a flashback...especially when those papers are mostly property / Zaveri takeover papers...so he could have mentioned that earlier, maybe a scene after Raunak came to give him coconut and stuff...something like Shiv didn't trust him, they better put those papers in the safe. And later, maybe another scene when Shiv's in front of the guest room. Prart thinks he's there to talk to her but he hands over some clues he got from the detective and asks her to keep them in the safe...that would have been a nice moment, Prart would have been hurt, and it would have hinted at Shiv sleeping elsewhere since he didn't go there where Sona's staying to store the evidence.
I know they work hard, but I wish they preplanned things instead of relying on random flashbacks.

Imagine living with a manipulative, gaslighting woman since childhood and still being blind to her games .. How can we expect him to recognize Prart's true nature so quickly? He might be shrewd in business but when it comes to personal life, he's emotional nd someone who's easy to manipulate..
Also, wasn't there a stay order? On the Zaveri house takeover? I guess now it's irrelevant but shouldn't they mention it? Or was the stay order on possession / kicking out Zaveris and not ownership?
There might be twist about evidence being in a safe place and Smitha helping Shivansh get back his dads dream project.
Remember Smitha Zaveri is a powerful person maybe it’s time for her to use it to save her son. It will also shed light on What Smitha thinks about Shivansh dad. Is Smitha divorced from Mr Randhawa? He is a dead man. But still .

Before Sona’s entry, it was an upward moving graph, there was steady progress in their relationship but ever sinceshe showed up, it's been all over the place. Random things thrown at us with no head or tail

I would really like that if Smita supports Shivansh, and if she does, then going against Raunak, her favorite, and helping Shiv will make him realise that she's really trying to do better. And maybe they will bond over Mr Randhawa's dream project (I hope there are scenes about the two of them reminiscing about him ― I want to know more about who he was). PraShiv story is hinting at separation and I don't trust them to do it right, but they have been good with Shiv-Smita, so fingers crossed, that part of the plot will be good.

It seems writers too had forgotten about Sona, so they were busy with PraShiv, but now they need to handle Sona-Shiv and that's not easy. Shiv wronged Sona, and it's clear he never had feelings for her. Realistically, there isn't anything Sona can do for her revenge that can't be done by RauYal, so they need to use her as a third person, and to do that, while maintaining PraShiv and satisfying us, is a balancing act. It needs proper planning, and they need to choose the lesser evil. Either Shiv didn't care, he was only treating it as a business deal and to appease BM, playing the part of a dutiful partner (he is sensitive about that), but the lack of emotional connect meant that when he took the impulsive decision of marrying Prarthana, Sona didn't feature in his thoughts. Or he was in some sort of relationship, her feelings are genuine, but obviously Prart is his true love and soon he will realise that. Only one of these scenarios makes for good drama so they will choose that, but by showing / implying SonaShiv after giving us PraShiv means they need to give us lollipop scenes of our leads so we remember that this is the love story we are watching, these are the people we should root for. It's a beautiful, beautiful mess.
Sona should have had a prominent role from start, creating problems between PraShiv, as both of them should have been walking on eggshells, the thought of Sona standing like a brick wall between their growing attachment, or he should have been single and they could have shown Sona as someone BM is trying to force on him because this marriage is fake.
With the timing of Sona's re-entry, she might have been a stranger or an old acquaintance who was caught up in this mess because of the accident (Payal hitting Sona's car), and during her stay at the Randhawas, she got a crush on Shiv. When Raunak chose to attack Shiv's project, Sona spotted an opportunity, and BM saw a way to throw Prarthana out of their lives and get herself a good bahu worthy of their reputation.
