No till now not so much back story is shown to conclude how Madhumati became dakini.

And your theory of killing Madhumati by rajaji seems to be right now not so much possible though in future they can set this narrative but yesterday and day after yesterday episodes seen that dakini is in much love with rajaji rather rajaji loved her...

Read somewhere that Madhumati was died because of raisaheb. Mostly it will be king and courtesan story only the way she danced and dressed up in past.
