Haan hasi ban gaye...You have become my smile now...

I dedicate this to 123456janu(Krishna Ahuja)/Chowmein123 who requested me to write a PraShiv OS.

A wedding was taking place.

The bride's eyes were fixed on the bride groom.She could not take her eyes off him as he appeared to be a Greek God to her.

Her happiness had no bounds as she considered herself to be the luckiest girl who got a handsome doctor as her husband.They were Prarthana and Shivansh.

The bedroom was decorated with beautiful flowers.Prarthana blushed seeing the beautiful romantic atmosphere. But to her shock,Shivansh appeared to be an serious young man who forgot to smile.

Shivansh turned off his face ignoring her as if she didn't exist for him.It didn't go unnoticed by Prarthana.

Prarthana:Shivansh!What happened?Is there anything which is disturbing you?

Shivansh:Yes....You!

Prarthana was shocked.

Prathana:I?But why?

Shivansh:I can't imagine you as my wife.

Prarthana was shocked.

Prarthana asked him painfully:Why?

Shivansh:Because I wanted a highly educated woman as my wife.

Prarthana:I am educated.I am a post graduate.

Shivansh:In English literature. Right?Is that even a qualification?I am a doctor. I am a specialist too.A doctor like me marrying an ordinary literature post graduate is a shame. This is not the life I expected.

Prarthana was so upset and shocked that she became numb for a moment.

Prarthana's dream world broke into pieces.The happiness in her eyes got replaced by painful tears.

Prarthana:Then what did you marry me?You could have married a doctor like you.

Shivansh:Exactly.But bua maa chose you for me.According to her,we have great horoscope match and you are the best partner for me.It's my bua maa who brought me up.So I can't disobey her.

Shivansh went straight to the bed while Prarthana went to the washroom and cried.

As days passed bua maa realized that Shivansh and Prarthana's relationship is on the rocks.

Bua asked Shivansh:What is this Shivansh?Till now you both have not even gone for honeymoon.

Shivansh:Please bua maa...please don't force me for that.Because I have no interest in Prarthana who is zero in education.

Bua:Stop it Shivansh.You are calling a post graduate uneducated.

Shivansh:Her MA qualification is no where near my qualification. Art students are brainless unlike doctors who are intelligent.

Bua:Shivansh... you will not get anyone better than Prarthana. She is a pure soul.

Shivansh was least interested to listen to her.

Bua Maa told Prarthana:You can't give up Prarthana.You have to take effort to save your marriage.Though Shivansh is a doctor,his brain is empty now.Call Shivansh and ask him to come home early.

Prarthana followed her advise and rang up Shivansh.

Prarthana:Shivansh...can you please come back home early?

Shivansh:Oh..stop behaving like a typical wife Prarthana. I am a doctor.I can come back home only after I finish my work.Don't call me and talk nonsense.

He cut the call.Prarthana became upset.

Prathana:What can I do Bua Maa?Shivansh is not even interested to hear my voice.He hates to see my face.

Bua:Shivansh will keep looking at you.I swear.He won't take his eyes off you.

Prarthana:But how?

Bua Maa took Prarthana to the room and dressed her up grandly.

Bua:If Shivansh will see you like this,he will be flattered.You look so beautiful now.

Prarthana blushed.

Shivansh reached home.He was stunned to see Prarthana's grand appearance.

Prarthana couldn't stop blushing as his gaze fell on her.Bua maa smiled.

Bua:Shivansh...take Prarthana for a date.

Shivansh was shocked.

Shivansh:Why?

Bua:You both are newly married.You both spend time with each other.

Shivansh:But bua maa...

Bua:I don't want to hear any excuse.Won't you listen to your bua maa?

Shivansh:In this life I have only obeyed you.

She smiled.

Shivansh looked at Prarthana and said:Come to the car with me.

Prarthana became dull as she expected him to look at her sweetly with a beautiful smile.But he was not even looking at her softly.

They got inside the car.

Shivansh:Why have you dressed up like you are going to a party?

Prarthana:Bua Maa dressed me up.

Shivansh:Don't think that with your beauty you cam attract me.Never!

Prarthana got really hurt.

Prarthana:I am not trying to attract you.

Shivansh:Whatever!

He simply drove the car here and there and returned to their compound.

Prarthana:We didn't go anywhere.It was just a drive?

Shivansh:You were dreaming of roaming around the place with me?Not even in dreams don't expect that.I took you out only to make bua maa happy.Don't expect anything more.

Don't tell bua maa that I didn't take you anywhere.

Prarthana looked at him painfully.

Shivansh:Why do you look so disheartened?If you are that upset why don't you just go away from me?

Prarthana;How can I leave you and go?You are my husband.I am wearing the nuptial chain which you tied around my neck.You are my kumkum bhagya.

Shivansh:Oh please...don't talk like the heroines of Ekta Kapoor's TV show Kumkum bhagya.

Prarthana:So intelligent doctors like you also watch daily soaps?

Shivansh felt embarrassed.

Shivansh:No.Accidentally I watched a few scenes with Bua Maa.

Unknowingly Prarthana smiled.

Shockingly the gas leaked and a fire blast took place.Shivansh saved Bua maa.But he got trapped in the fire.

Bua maa cried:Shivansh!

Prarthana got scared and rang up the fire department.

Then she looked at the fire with fear.

Prarthana:How will I go there?

She remembered daily soaps.

Prarthana:Prarthana...if Kumkum bhagya heroines can do it,you can also do it to save your husband.

Prarthana ran to save Shivansh.

Shivansh was shocked.

Shivansh:Why are you here?You didn't escape?

Prarthana:When you are here,how can I escape alone?

Shivansh was touched by her words.

Prarthana held his hand

and tried to walk out.Shivansh was staring at Prarthana through out.In between the fire burnt some areas of his skin.Due to smoke he started coughing heavily.Prarthana got scared.By that time the people from the fire department came and prevented the fire.

Shivansh got admitted in the hospital.

Prarthana smiled at him.

Prarthana:I am so happy that you are safe Shivansh. You have only a few burns on your body.Those will be healed soon.

Shivansh:But what about yours?

Prarthana:I have only a few on my hands.Those are already bandaged.

Shivansh was relieved.

Prarthana:You asked about my well being for the first time.I felt nice.

Shivansh smiled slightly.

Shivansh:Thank you so much for saving me.

Prarthana smiled:No need of thanking me.

Shivansh smiled simply.

Prarthana went to pay the hospital bill.

Bua maa told Shivansh:See...I told you that Prarthana is the best partner for you.She only saved your life Shiv.

Shivansh became emotional.

Shivansh got discharged from the hospital. Due to gratitude,Shivansh started talking softly to Prarthana which made her very happy.

Prarthana brought milk for Shivansh.

Shivansh went closer to Prarthana. Her heart started beating fast.

Shivansh:I have always insulted you.Then why are you taking care of me?

Prarthana looked at him emotionally.

Prarthana:Because you are my kumkum bhagya.

Shivansh:Not again.Say honestly.But for heaven sake don't talk like the tv heroines.

Prarthana:Maybe I like you very much more than you expect from me.

Shivansh was stunned.

They shared an emotional eye lock.

Slowly both walked away from each other.

One day Prarthana fainted due to high fever and vomiting.

Shivansh held her closer worried for her.

Shivansh:Prarthana...open your eyes.

Slowly she opened her eyes and looked at him.

He was relieved.

Shivansh:Don't worry.You will be alright soon.

Shivansh took Prarthana to the hospital and gave her drip.He took care of her.Prarthana was very happy.

Prarthana:Thank you for taking care of me Shivansh.You are really a good doctor.

He smiled.

He thought:As a doctor I always take care of my patients.But why I felt so worried for Prarthana?Have I started loving her?

After some days....

While walking Prarthana slipped and before she fell down Shivansh held her hand pulling her closer to him.

They shared an eye lock.

Prarthana:Thank you Shivansh.

Shivansh was silent.

As days passed Shivansh realised that he has really started loving Prarthana.

Seeing Prarthana he smiled at her.She smiled at him.

Prarthana:It's a surprise that the angry doctor has started smiling at me.

Shivansh:Yes.Because you made me smile.You have become the reason of my smile.Actually you have become my smile now.

Prarthana couldn't believe her ears.

Prarthana asked him in excitement:What?Did I hear it right?

Shivansh:Yes.Hear one more thing.I realized that bua maa chose the best girl for me.You are my true love Prarthana. I love you.

Prarthana's happiness had no bounds.

Prarthana:I had been waiting to hear this from you since a long time.I love you too Shivansh.

He smiled.
