Just because a sham of a marriage happened based on deceit how is it fair to let Vikrant live in this lie and shame. Why is it wrong for Mannat to go all out to protect Vikrant and for her love (some even have a problem with this & calling Mannat selfish for trying to get her love back ) when she realized she played a small part in this tragedy? Calling her names just shows the regressive mentality of the society which wants to uphold the marriage based on sexual explotation and let the victim suffer.

Regarding Mahabharata, a brilliant parallel you brought up. At the fear of hurting sentiments I will keep it short 🫣, all the folks in that sabha were cursed if you remember for upholding their titles , their oath etc etc at the expense of Draupadi's honor.

That is exactly what is happening here, people want to uphold a criminal wedding at the expense of Vikrant who is a victim of sexual crime and they want Mannat to stay mute and close her eyes like Bheeshma and other .

I was so happy (nothing to do with the show) to read about this Section of the Marriage Act because I realised there are checks and balances but people may not be aware.

And honestly, it is high time, a show that is doing well should show such truths. The Shalini track dragged on to show how power can dominate over the powerless or money less, ordinary person. power kept on being used against Shalini and Mannat till the end.

Here, rationally, I know when a man is accused, it is highly impossible to prove anything because legally it is always the woman's word that is accepted.

Vikrant needs to be out of that marriage because he is a victim here. I just hope they hurry it up and wrap up her exposure track. It is getting repetitive. All Mannat seems to be doing is provoking Malla by doing Teej, and by working with him in Mezbaani and all Malla is doing is getting Vikrant to humiliate Mannat. This can't go on for weeks or months together. For the audience, the track started with the fake marriage drama, as Malla spelt it all out today.

Well said, for Malla this marriage is nothing but a trophy she wants to win and hold on to which is a Merely show piece.
