Recently I watched some clips of this serial and it generated an interest in me. Maybe this might be the only comment I'll be posting here because I am too shy to write something here☺️ Here I am a writing a possible backstory of Rishab and how it will make sense of the latest promo. It is a wild theory maybe very absurd 😁. I have used ai to clear my grammar mistakes so ignore the chatgpish tone 😌. Here is my wildest theory 🤭 Rishabh doesn’t just have one target — he has two: Bhagya and her Appa. Years ago, her Appa, a government employee, might have signed something as part of his duty, unaware of the full consequences. That single act ended up destroying Rishabh’s entire family. A mob, fueled by that decision, set fire to his house. His parents were killed in the blaze. Rishabh and his younger sister managed to escape, but his elder brother was trapped inside. Rishabh tried to save him, fought to pull him out, but his brother was severely burned — left in a condition so disfigured that he couldn’t be seen in public again. Maybe he had dreams of becoming an actor or model, which made the damage even more painful. After that day, Rishabh, his sister, and his injured brother lived in hiding, quietly carrying the weight of their loss and grief. Years passed. Rishabh’s younger sister eventually fell in love with a man — the same one who had betrayed Bhagya five years ago. But this man didn’t want commitment. To escape, he used Bhagya’s name as an excuse — claiming she was rich, powerful, maybe even pregnant with his child, or that she was dangerous and he couldn’t fight her. He made Bhagya the villain in his story to justify leaving Rishabh’s sister. Heartbroken, and convinced Bhagya had stolen the man she loved, Rishabh’s sister died by suicide. In the letter she left behind, Bhagya’s name was written — a name that had unknowingly become the reason for yet another tragedy in Rishabh’s life. That moment shattered Rishabh. He dug deeper and discovered that Bhagya wasn’t just a random name — she was the daughter of the same man whose signature had destroyed his family years ago. It was all connected. That family — the Iyers — had taken everything from him: his parents, his brother’s dreams, his sister, and his peace. So he decided to strike back. He came into Bhagya’s life with a plan — he entered her office, pretending to be a simple, sweet, caring guy. He knew exactly how to approach her: by becoming the support she lacked. Even Vikram, the man he exposed for cheating Bhagya, might have been part of his plan. What if Vikram was his ally, planted to create a betrayal scenario so that Rishabh could step in as the perfect husband? Everything felt organic to Bhagya, but it was calculated from the start. But something changed when Rishabh heard Bhagya open up about her own betrayal. He saw her pain and began to realise she wasn’t like the others — she had been a victim too. He started to feel guilt. He started to feel… something else. Seeing her strength, vulnerability, and kindness, he began to develop real feelings. But he couldn’t pull out of the plan — his target wasn’t just Bhagya; it was Appa, the entire Iyer pride. That’s likely why he brought the girl to the hotel and claimed she was his girlfriend — so Bhagya wouldn’t get attached to him. It was a way to push her away gently, to keep her out of his revenge. But destiny had other plans. Bhagya fell for him and confessed her love. Now Rishabh is stuck — torn between his unresolved pain and the unexpected love he never thought he’d feel again. And that’s why, in the latest promo, his dialogue felt like a message not to Bhagya — but to someone else. Maybe to his disfigured elder brother, the one he saved from the fire, the one who constantly reminds him of everything they lost. Rishabh may be saying, “The love part is done. Now it’s time for disgrace.” But his eyes reveal the truth: he’s no longer sure if he can go through with it. His pain is real. His love might be real now too. But so is the revenge — and the weight of the past that won’t let him walk away.

Matlab, hum yahan iski heart check up kara rahe hai, aur yeh humara dadkan bada raha hai instead! He looks damn good no doubt, but simple rishu bhi acha tha!! Feeling bad for Bhagya! But kudos to everyone for repeating he had a past with her/family! He definitely does now! Kya hai, wohi pata karna hai! After the first hotel sequence itself, it feels like Rishabh’s evil twin took his place in Bhagya’s house!
