If they directly reunite Abhimaan with a 7 year old child already in the story, there won’t be much left to explore. At best, they could show Abhira getting pregnant again, Abhimaan becoming a happy couple, and maybe stretch that for 4–5 months. But beyond that, all major tracks have been exhausted—Armaan’s birth mother, Abhira’s identity revelation, Akshara’s truth, even the Goenka family arc has no further potential.
Even if they bring Ruhi back, there's not much scope left. The makers tried a love triangle between Ruhi, Armaan, and Abhira, but it didn’t land well. If they get abhira second time pregnant ,with two children introduced on the show, it would signal the natural end of this gen. However, Abhira marries the cameo, it opens up more dramatic possibilities.
I agree with this because it is fetching Trp.. they might end up marrying the cameo to stretch the story .. this is the classic Ghum case of good TRP spoiling the story
