From the story's perspective, the only one who can move it forward is Dadu, same circle back to the promise of dying parent and Armaan's promise

Anyone else dying will only reunite Abhira and Armaan, if they want to speed up that process, then they would have started with identity reveal of Maira

If giving divorce is crime then no couple can have peace of mind and here many ppl wanted abhira to divorce armaan for humiliation she gets on daily basis. If divorce is the basis for seperating child from another spouse then will you agree whoever signs divorce paper first should give up custody too. ? No matter reason for divorce can be death, abuse etc. Usne divorce kiya so she deserves it.
