There are plenty of petty, narrow-minded people in every generation. For instance, there are some who believe that feminism somehow disrespects men and their interests.

My mother belongs to the older generation, but she still doesn’t watch such shows because of the sheer drama, day in and day out. But I do get your bewilderment, because I’ve asked myself the same question. Why do these shows appeal to the younger generation when they have plenty of other options?

Younger generation like emotional drama as well and Itv mein kut kut ke bhara hai...smiley36I personally never liked such serials because of FL centralised core you can count me in the club....though I am not a feminist nor anti feministsmiley36

Sometimes it's just about audience....serials are watched by majority ladies.....so they highlight their side movies majorly ML crafts that's why they are inclined more to web shows and cinema...

Progressive mentality has its own side effects like regressive had....point is about conditions we tend to achieve something while forgetting long term impact....one such example is feminism not arguing but it's just a movement where they are increasing labour in the name of strong women for development of country and modern culture....

Only if they had made such crafts little less toxic and stretching it like no morrow limited to 200-300 best episodes it would have been fun for all every age group....Because kaisa bhi ho apna tv sanskaro wala hai not abusive, dirty or just fiction it has some connection with day to day life as well....and a major source to voice social issues plus relationships....yahan shaadi ke baad story chalu hoti hai uspe khatam nhi....

True. A storyline can become truly engaging when writers focus on meaningful storytelling with realistic dialogues and strong character development. Once that foundation is set, it's the actors' job to bring those characters to life through genuine and heartfelt performances.

There’s no need to rely on hormone-driven romance just to attract a nibba nibbi audience. That kind of forced chemistry feels more like a commercial than a real connection. Instead, slow-burn romances where characters gradually build an emotional bond while also growing closer work beautifully, especially in itv shows.

Since these shows usually have plenty of episodes, there's no need to rush the relationship. With good writing and a steady pace, the audience stays invested without getting bored, something that’s harder to achieve in OTT series with limited episodes. A well-built connection always leaves a stronger impact than something that's rushed and superficial.

I don't think that two wives of the male lead, abuse of the female lead, and romantic angle of devar-bhabhi in shows can be called sanskari. The makers present their shows as sanskari. But they actually show non-sanskari things. You're saying they're based on reality. I don't agree. They're not realistic. Getting new faces after plastic surgeries, coming back after deaths, marrying people to take revenge have nothing to do with reality. And GOT is not a science fiction show. It's a political fantasy. It mixes fantasy elements like dragons with political intrigue.

Younger audience need hormone driven romance. It's the young adults who look for emotional dramas. Older audience just look for family kalesh. Trp aunties like kitchen politicssmiley36

Yes, this......exactly this🔥🔥🔥 Thank you for voicing out the main reason why the current headless narrative was unacceptable, intolerable & cringe to a good section of audience because of ruthless villainization of previous leads, no period of grief & mourning, no time-gap shown before their attraction phase. Some of us have been constantly stating the same in Ghum forum as to why Junta was so furious & had so much qualms with the sudden upside down of narrative

You have pinpointed accurate reasons like- unrealistic & baffling transition that has been a cause of non-stop outrage against this latest crazy acrobat of Cocaine PH. There was never an issue with leads moving on, it has been about cheapest execution. Clearly, makers were showing Savi-Neil attracted & developing feelings for each other within weeks of their partners' death as if Rajat-Teju were some discardable trash, after proclaiming their atoot love for their dead spouses. Nobody moves on that fast after a huge loss as these Ganja makers wanted us to believe, especially when their spouses died a gruesome & unnatural death, in Savi's case twice, that's insane amount of trauma to feel casual about deaths & start falling in love immediately.

It's only at the last moment that makers had to backtrack due to channel's intervention....Tbh, that was looking so bad on their characters, they were looking like so hollow, & punchable as characters

For those, who were trashing Neil-Teju labelling it as infatuation & hardly spent time together or even Rajat-Savi. Unkliye aaj ka gyaan:- Bhai, aajkal toh logg apne CRUSH se bhi itne jaldi move on nahi karpaate, let alone moving on like an escalator after proclaiming such intense love for their life-partnerssmiley37 Emotions don't have a switch, which has an on & off button, something these nonsense Cockroach PH tried so hard to sell through Savlon

Agree....but still I believe love is very huge term to use for TejNeil....their story was just started and then rushed dheere dheere woh log actually accept karne ke mode mein aaye the but it ended....

It's a process not just affection... though it was wrong the way he moved on so early after claiming lifetime commitment and values....

I, too, have exactly same words to pour out for that memorable show.."Usse better show mene apni life mein aajtak nahi dekha" and my feelings are indescribable. I fall short of words to explain my adoration for that show.smiley27smiley27 Such a gripping narration style

Indeed, Imagine tv shows were gold smiley27

The show's writing and casting were truly exceptional. Each character delivered a remarkable performance. I've rewatched the show multiple times. Channels like imagine tv failing to grab numbers shows how dumb the Indian audience have always been. It's a pity that the show went off air abruptly because the channel got shut down.
